hello folks, My name is Timothy, I'm from Texas, I do custom powder coating for a living and I'm 48 years ald last month. I currently smoke 1 - 1.3 packs of marlboro ultralights a day.
I wanting to stop the ciggarettes and get going on a good electronic cigg.
The help I need is in picking the correct product, I am reading so much about liquid dripping and excess etc etc and I have tried to read on the various product types etc and I'm just so confused as to which one would be good for a E-cigg noob like myself.
I do realize with the amount of varieties of products I have seen, this question probably ranks up there with the "which motor oil to use" question found on the auto forums.
I just dont want to spend hard earned money on a product that is a pain when I should have gotten the "X" brand to start with and I figured there are enough here that have been down that road blindly, just hoping the experienced could shed a little light for the new guy.
Thanks tons!!
Timothy

if you're looking for something roughly cigarette size, i recommend the joye 510, with cartomizers.

The only downside is battery life, I go through 2-3 batteries a day on average, however it is not a huge deal if you have a personal charging case (pcc).

I started vaping with it 4 days ago, used to smoke about a pack a day. I quit smoking analogs (as they are called here) instantly. Last night, I tried an analog (I have about half a pack left), and it was the most disgusting thing I have tasted in a very long time. Needless to say, that pack immediately went into the trash can, and I will not be doing that ever again.

Tee, What's up Bro? Man I too stared with a 510 and quickly out grew it. My best advise would be to go ahead and get a mod from the start. Head to alt.smoke and check out a Silver or Black bullet. They are US built , good quality, fairly cheap and produce enough vapor for you to forget about cigarettes. SB can run high voltage but I'd suggest going w/a 18650 battery and a LR atomizer {901 or 510}. That way you get a couple of days battery life instead of a couple of hours. Currently I've got a GGTS from Vapor Kings and a Black Bullet from alt smoke. GGTS was ran at 6 volts for a while with a HV 901 atty and performs well. Currently I'm trying it with a LR 901 and 18650 and that does well also. The Black Bullet has a LR 510 and 14500 battery and will go almost 1/2 day producing excellent vapor with that battery. I don't mess with carts and drip only. That's much easier for me and produces the best vapor and taste. The Bullet line costs less than 1/2 the price of the GGTS though the GGTS has recently came down in price. All three are excellent mods and as good as any out there. If I were new with no e-cig and needing to quit analogs I'd get the Silver Bullet, 3/4 18650 batteries, 5/6 LR 901/510 attys{901 requires an adapter}, and a drip tip. Couple that with some Tasty Vapor's Atomic Cinnicide and Geoff's Blend juice and cigarettes won't stand a chance.....

I started with a joye 510 a little over a week ago (as recommended here at the ecf) and overall im very happy with it. The one and only downside IMO is the battery life is bad. But with a pcc and enough spare batteries this can be overcome. I do also really recommend manual batteries, the auto's are not as simple as they seem they would be.

On another note, I had an 03 srt w/ over 500 ponies and even more torque.

nice :toast: , but 04 was the best year (... + less restrictive ECU than 05) what happened to it?

i used to live on srtforums.com, especially in the old days, before they switched to vbulletin. However, i found as time went by, the board became WAY to immature, as a whole, and stopped browsing it unless I had a problem.

I had a laundry list of plans for mine, got a few done, but ended up buying a house so those are all on hold for quite some time.

Perfect! I actually found those as well, whats the difference between the silver and black one, I'm not much of a silver guy, would rather have the black.
If its a performance reason, then I'll go silver, dissasemble it and powdercoat it the black I want, so either way is good with me, so, thats why I ask why you suggested the silver bullet and not the other.
Thanks tons :)

yeah, we bought one when they only sold in florida and cali, we got it to texas and started modding it. I was the beta tester for the PFI piggyback and we ran big fuel pressure, big injectors, evo8 compressor wheel = 25# to redline and 100 shot of nx, other goodies too, but with the drag radials, it would shake so hard on launch the wipers would come on...would dust z06's on the big end, I too was on srt forums, "MuddyJEEP". mine was great fun when nobody knew what it was, then got got popular and everysnot nosed brat kid got one and I sold mine.

They are the same TxPC.......Silver Bullet is actually the model name and not the color......many refer to them as SSB (silver silver bullet) and BSB (black silver bullet)

Always glad to see another Texan here.......where are you in this big state?

okies, i ordered a bunch of stuff, they were out of the drip tips, am i correct that this is an adapter that allows to drip to atomizer direct? i can do the same by unscrewing and dripping until I get the tips, right?
thanks tons :)

Well as you now know the SB is available in black. SB holds the 18650 battery and BB holds a 14500. Due to this the SB is larger than the BB. Both are excellent mods and you won't regret getting a good one to start. Brother it's got a job to do kicking those analogues to the curb but it's up to the task. Head on over to Super -T Manufacturing and pick up a stainless elongated drip tip. They are the best IMO and what I use. Bullets come ready for 510 attys and adapters must be used for 901s or other attys. I really like my BB and 510 LR attys. I was smoking + - 3 packs of Marlboro Lights a day and dropped them cold almost 100 days ago. You won't have a problem "nicking" with a Bullet.

Yeah you can slip the tip off and drip directly into the atomizer. You don't have to screw the atty off. That'll work too but the Super -T is the way to go. I've got shorties and the elongated S/S and much prefer the elongated S/S. It is comfortable, has a funnel to the atty and vapes good. I use a shorty too but in heavy action you may contact the atty or get a little hot juice spit on to your tongue. I need to pick up a couple more elongated SS tips from Super-T myself. I already had the charger that alt.smoke offered for the Bullet batts and love it as well. With a good supply of batts/juice/attys you will be good to go. Batts also fit the Bullets without a problem..That is a bit of a problem with other mods and can be a real PITA. Alt.Smoke is also a pleasure to deal with and that's getting rare these days. BTW I have been in the collision industry for 30 years and am a jack of all in the shop. I also have constructed a few custom motorcycles and know the importance of a good powder coater. No SRT but an '00 2500 4X4 on '37 Swampers Blowin' Smoke from a 5.9 Cummins. She pushes @ 500hp and over 1000lb ft of torque..RAM TUFF
