Hi everyone,

Name's Chris, i smoked for 15 years, had my baby girl born 11 months ago, quit smoking for her and myself of course.

Started with the eGo twist, that lasted me about 2 months then started wanting more. vaping soon became a hobby and then I got into mechanicals and building.

My go to mechs are my Stingray, Nemesis Clone and my Mutation X v2 Mod and RDA combo. I have about 8 mechanicals and recently got into Box Mods and Sub tanks for those long drives. I have a Sigeli 150w box and a kbox and the ipv4 which hold my Atlantis v1, Delta II and depending on if I'm making a high watt build, my rdas!

I've been reading this forum for a long time but never made an account, so decided to start now and because i have a question which i can only post here, in my introduction page!

Recently bought the Delta II, noticing a few thing's i'm not 100% happy with, any ideas?
1. Pre-made coils seem to cause my throat to hurt after a day or two use at 35-45watts, so I quit that.
2. Bought the RBA last night and was using the stock 1.1 ohm coil which is fantastic flavor and i think B+ rating on the vapor production, BUT is there anyway to increase the air flow? I mean i feel like I'm trying to lung hit from an eGo twist pen and damn does it get hot fast!
3. My RBA on the Delta II also seems to have some defects, when i open it back up to re-fill the tank, the top cap of the rba is lodged in the tank and some how keeps coming off..?
4. Since i've had the RBA it seems the bottom of the Delta II (base) has problems screwing back on the tank, like it feels like eventually I'm going to strip the threading on it.

Welcome to ECF Chris! I don't have a Delta so I can't help you with that. Something you may want to look into for those long car trips is a bottom fed device like the Reo. All the flavor of dripping without the hassle. Just give it a squonk and your wicks are primed for vaping satisfaction. My commute is 2 hours one way so I know about the long trips.

Cheers! :vapor:

I too have noticed that the top cap of the rba screws off and tends to stay in the tank portion. I just always dump it out and put it back on. I'm surprised at how easily it comes off, almost every time. Have you got your air holes wide open tho? Mine does have a little bit of resistance, but not too awfully bad. And I've noticed that my coils don't do so well at 45+. Especially with the rba with those tiny juice wells. I end up getting a lot of dry hits. But normally between 35-40 watts is OK. What kind of juice are you using?

Air slots are wide open, I'm using Night Shade by CCI (Apple Crumb, 100% VG) With the stock coil at 1.1 ohms i have it turned up to 37 watts, roughly 6.3 Volts and it tastes great and chucks vapor, no burning taste at all. The pre-built store bought coils can handle 45+ but flavor isn't nearly as good and its a bit harsh even when saturating the coil correctly before use.

I guess the cap is a problem not just for me, good to know, sucks it was made that way but as long as it doesn't effect my vape experience it's not going to effect my decision to keep it. Have you noticed any issues with putting the base back on the Delta Tank after installing the rba section? It wasnt a problem before with the pre-made store bought coils.

I have noticed it a few times, I take it back off and wipe the threads and try again. I'm not sure why it does it tho, but mine does it too. I thought about just leaving that top cap off, but I figure it would lose more juice than I already do. I've heard the prebuilt are good for up to 45w, but I've heard of people saying they can run them all the way up to 60-70w. But at 5.99 a piece, I'm OK at 30-40w lol

Exactly! $21.99 for a 5 pack not counting the juice it consumes.. I'm not saving any $$$, but i'm saving the people around me and myself which is priceless !!

The delta 2 is a juice guzzler. But it is a really good tank imo. Its what I started out with. I'm not that impressed with the rba tho. But at least I don't have to buy more of those coils. You're high VG level may be a little bit of hindrance for it. Thicker juice may not flow thru as well. I normally run 50/50 or 80/20 in my tank and keep my highest VG stuff for my rdas

Yeah I love building so i had to have the rba, the Atlantis was costing me around $45 a month just on those store made coils; I think you may be right on the VG levels of my juice affecting the airflow, i will try it when i get home once i replace the wick and re-juice, i will try some of my 70/30, 60/40 juices and see how the airflow is.
