Hey mate, watch the language this is a respectable outfit.-- LOL-- But I do agree with your post, sometimes you don't know how many of something they are selling for the price is it one or 5 and alot of time not much description of their product.

not sure what you mean by language?
at one point i couldnt find another descriptive word but i thought that bleeping myself out would be acceptable
my apologies to any offence that may have been caused :)

Are you buying auto batteries? Buy manual batteries - auto batteries can be much more easily killed by juice leaks on the end of the battery. Make sure the threaded end of your battery is dry and clean every time before you put it in a charger. I have been using the same Vapor4Life manual batteries for 4 months. If you want cheaper batteries go to LiteCigUSA.net - they have black (and maybe steel?) manual standard KR808D-1 batteries for $10 each and cheap shipping.

Never screw a battery into a charger harder than necessary. That can press the center circular pole of the battery in further and and then the pole might not reach the pole of a cartomizer and cause no electrical connection.

Here is the Vapor4Life forum including a brief illustrated guide. I agree with you about instructions. I gave them crap about sending out starter kits with no instructions.
Vapor4Life

But what you have is the simplest e-cigarette.

You are right if you get a lot of juice inside your battery it can kill it but if you use the new generation autos with new generation cartos that don't leak they are awesome. You should really try one, I think you would be surprised on how much better they are now than before. Check out Jan's Video she was just like you.

So you bought a V4L kit and you still don't know what model # it is?

KR808D-1

If the pictures on there website don't match what you bought check your browser. I was able to choose the color of the battery I wanted and the LED. The site would not show colors they were out of

Note to all the other responders: It's not really helpful to tell new folks having trouble to spend yet more money on an entirely different type of PV. They are frustrated enough and have already shelled out enough cash. Help them get the hardware they've already got working properly. Recommend stuff that will work with what they've already bought AND POST LINKS.

PS. Don't understand why you bought short batts, they'll need recharching often. I always have at least 2 long batts at work. They last till lunch when I swap them for fresh ones.

when i bought the vapor king i was aware it is a KR808D-1. But i only found that out after asking the question in these forums.

my browser is fine, as the pictures it displays are advertisements for F4L and the vapor king. The only difference between the picture and the actual product i received is the LED. Mine is blue and the pictures is red/orange. Here is the pic i am talking about
f4l.gif

i bought short batteries because, as i stated previously, i was looking for something that would resemble an anologue as close as possible. so i dont wish to have something that is almost twice the size, it doesnt feel or look natural and i dont feel as comfortable with it as i do an anologue.
i dont mind having extra batteries and i am looking to buy a PCC so i wont have a problem with batteries losing charge.

The LEDS on that picture look pink to me in my browser (Firefox).
Here's a screen shot of the kit I bought. Notice there is no option to choose the color of the LED.
I could swear when I got my kit I could choose the color of the LED. I didn't want my ecig to look like an analog.
The cartomiser page looks completely different as well.
I assume the sites look different because you are in Australia. Different server, orders fulfilled by a different supplier? How long would it take to ship and how much $ to ship from U.S. to Australia?
$$$$$ I bet.

maybe, but still not blue and a lot more natural than blue.

i see your screen shot and it looks exactly the same for me. you can choose the colour of the battery and you have the auto or manual option, but not option for the LED.
could you possibly be thinking of the vaporkings.com website?
im not sure if this is the same "Vapor King" product that V4L sell as its named differently and again, not properly described, but their website does look similar to V4L and i was slightly confused at one point.
however, if you purchase a PV from vaporkings.com you have the option to choose your LED aswell as the battery colour.

im not sure that being in australia would make any difference, i havent come across that in the past. but as i said, your screen shot looks exactly the same as what i see so im guessing it would be the same. but you never know i guess.

it took 7 days (including weekend) to get to me and international shipping on V4L is $25
definatly one of the more expensive international shipping charges i have come across at the moment but because of the high aussie dollar, i dont pay the displayed price, its slightly less.
but i must say it was quite quick shipping, i was expecting it to take a couple more days and possibly even another week if it got stopped going through customs.

Bravo Cookiebun! You just said what I've thought about saying for awhile. P.S. your avatar always makes me smile.:)

Also, Kudos to Vapian - you hit it on the head too brother! Thanks.

To the OP, I can't help much since these folks have said it better than I could! All I can do is to repeat that it is ultimately worth it! To be free of cigarettes after 32 years, has been a life-changing experience for me. In fact, charging my batts and refilling my cartos for the next day has become a rather soothing few minutes for me each evening - Takes less time than going out to buy more smokes and theraputic. It replaced that "last cig before bedtime" habit I had...

In fact, smoking cigs was not without its stress points...just think about the recurring mild panic whenever running out of cigs late at night with no obvious place to buy more, or rooting through the ashtray hoping to find just one smokeable ...., or constantly getting hassled for smoking/smelling like cigs, or being exiled to the the freezing/raining outdoors in order to have a "fix" virtually EVERYWHERE we go. Or, the immortal, running out of cigs the night before and going out first thing in the morning, in my house slippers, before I can do anything else at all, to buy another pack - with nic withdrawl all the way. Yessir, those were proud times! lol. The list could go on for several more paragraphs but most of us are addicts and tend to overlook the hell we went through with tobacco for so many years.

This is an emerging technology and has its share of teething pains to be sure - Despite this, it is very effective in breaking the hideous cycle of cigarette addiction. So, OP stay with it and lean on us here a bit for moral support when needed. That is what ECF does best!

Best of luck!

Maybe you can with the bedazzled batteries. I put a note in the order for my mom for the color LED she wanted. They're always very nice to deal with and go out of their way to accommodate you.

I 'think' each battery comes with two led color options. If you post in their forum I bet someone could tell you.
