Vicky, you took the words right out of my mouth!

What I meant by diluting with VG was to get a 0mg sampler of flavored e-juice and drip it a little at a time into a carto (my volt cartos are easily refillable). I figure as little as I seem to use, it'll probably last me quite a while. It'll have to wait until next month, tho.

Always nice to hear about others being helped by certain threads.

The problem would be the 0 nic would dilute the nicotine down and VG is not very cartomizer filler friendly. A standard carto holds approx 1 ml/ 20 drops of juice if that helps.
The Very Best of Luck.

The advice everyone else has given is really all you need, so there isn't much more i can say. I do remember when I had the same issues though. I would cough in 12-16 mg of nic, and my throat would hurt after half a day of vaping. Don't worry, it will pass! I can chain vape 24mg all day without any negative effects at all, so just start small, be sure to drink water, and enjoy.

You don't say what you have that Vamo set at. Its more powerful than the Blu. You also don't say what ohm cartos you're using. For instance, 2.0 ohm cartos vaping at 4 to 5 volts is going to give a powerful TH. Play around with voltage starting at 3.0 volts and move it up til you find your sweet spot. Or set your watts down whichever way your using it. Its worth a try and will definitely help until you can get some lower VG nic. Note: I have a Vamo and only vape between 3.4 or 3.7 volts for most juice but never go above 4.3 volts... just too uncomfortable and gag/cough city. For comparison, I guess its like the difference between full flavor Lucky Strikes or Camels ... pretty harsh... but slap a plastic filter on the full flavor and they're okay. That's kinda what voltage settings do... the juice nic strength doesn't change, just the delivery. Reading here at ECF, you would never know there are more 3.7 volt vapers (like ego) than there are 5 volt vapers... and even those 5 volt peeps set it down for some juices.

Any pharmacy in the First Aid Section- usually next to Witch Hazel and Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol...VG Glycerin is used as a skin moisturizer. Make sure it's USP.

Not in my town, besides walmart I tryed Walgreens and CVS, even ask the pharmists. Only thing they have that says Glycerine on it is Laxative Suppositories with glyserine. Guess I just have to order some online.

Walgreens online I found Heritage Store Vegetable Glycerin, but it doesn't say USP and the details say its not sold in stores. And online CVS sells CVS Pure Glycerin USP, but the pharmist says they don't have it.

Newby myself, but I would suggest that you reduce the nicotine level (unless you were a very heavy smoker). I've been using 18mg (smoked between 2/3 and a pack a day) and generally enjoying the throat hit, although at times it's been a bit harsh and led to some mild coughing. I've also tried 16mg and 12mg, which was definitely smoother. Just got some all-VG juice to compare, with some trial and error you will find your perfect levels.

Try something like 70PG-30VG at 16-18mg if you want more flavour and like some throat hit, you can also try 12mg as well to reduce it further, or go with a higher VG % if you want more vapour, subtler flavour with a lesser throat hit.

I've had this happen to me with one brand of juice it was a pg china made juice that I tried in multiple flavors but they were all very harsh but I had just started vaping I think my throat was pretty sensitive from years of smoke damage I haven't vaped that brand since mostly becuse I have found others that didn't bother me at all but I will try them again at some point I'm sure

You are not alone!!!!! I am not digging the throat hit either. I want lots of a smooth flavor and moderate vape. I am at 8mg to get my nic fix and enjoy Omg to just kick back and vape away. I would love to find a smooth sweet butterscotch. If anyone has recommendations :p ... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. CTRL+F5 reloads the whole page.
