I bought it almost a week ago and put it on my Kamry K1000 epipe. Vaped like a charm, I mean I couldn't even take a full drag without having to cough from the thoat hit. Now, I'm seeing A LOT less vopor, I don't care if I breath real hard or almost not at all. I assumed my atty was going (even though flavor was still good, no burnt hits) so I cleaned it thoroughly and installed the other atty it came with. Still, same amount of vapor production.
Now, let me say this before I go any further: I guess the wiring kamry used was pretty poverty as the little metal contact pad on the battery (were the spring contact pad on the atty sits) came unsoldered and the dude at my local vape shop had to solder it back on. He had a lot of trouble getting it soldered back on as it's an epipe and the wiring had to be pulled from the bottom of the "bowl" (were the battery sits) to the contact piece extruding from the side of the bowl. He had so much trouble, that he couldn't even get the contact piece to sit flush like it's supposed to be, it was kinda sitting at an angle. Now when I got the mini, I never screwed it on tight all the way as the contact piece was at an angle and I didn't want to mess with it (the dude said to be careful, it may come unsoldered).
A few days ago, I decideded to tighten the mini all the way down and the contact piece is now sitting flush like it should. Slowly after that, my vapor production slowly started to get worse and worse (but for the first 24 hours after doing this, I was still getting a lot of vapor), to the point now where I kinda need to take a few primer drags just get it to produce a descent amount of vapor (not even half as much vapor as before, I'm rarely getting even ANY throat hit at all with 18mg nicotine 50/50). Now I would assume something's wrong with the wiring, however if this were the case, I wouldn't be able to get any vapor, correct? I mean either power is able to reach the atty or not.
Anyone have any insight as to what's wrong? I can try and take pics of the insides of the bowl and even take the contact piece out to show the wiring, I have a solder gun so I can resolder it back on. I just want to get some confirmation that the wiring may be the issue before I really mess something up!
SIDE NOTE: every now and then when the contact piece was angled a bit, I noticed randomly a few times my battery would start to rapidly heat up (as if somehow it was pushing out continuous power even though I wasn't holding down the button on the battery). Taking the battery out and putting the mini back on would do the trick, but now that the contact piece is flush, I'm no longer having that issue. I'm assuming the contact piece was hitting the side of the wall of the bowl and causing continuous power, but now that the piece is flush, it is no longer coming into contact to anything that it shouldn't.
