I knew I've been eating less these last few weeks since vaping! I thought it was the nicotine, and maybe eating lighter because it's summer, but it appears it might be the scents.

I can't remember if it was in these or other articles I skimmed, but I believe it is vanilla that helps curb appetite the most, and peppermint that helps concentration.

Anyone find their flavors affecting their appetite or moods?

And maybe non-smokers would accept vaping more if they knew it was a diet aide??

I think that the aroma and flavors do trick our heads into thinking there is something exciting going on. I will say that I have gained absolutely no weight vapin, and possibly lost a few. The sweet flavors like candies and bakery goods, I find will tend to curb the desires for sweets... depending on the person Im sure. Also I tried a earl grey tea form Vaporgod, its got a ton of strong tea flavor, mixed in some honey and marshmallow... it is my cup of tea! Very relaxing

Interesting...there's the story about supermodels smoking to curb the appetite and stay stick-thin. I guess there must be something in this...

From what I read, smoking works the opposite way - it deadens your sense of smell and thus your desire to eat since you can't taste what you're eating.

With inhalation of pleasant, sweet scents, it tricks your brain into thinking it's eaten something already and thus you don't need to eat more.

The study did say it is the sweet scents that affected the subjects most, so your experience (and mine) bears that out.

That tea flavor sounds awesome!

Funny, I've gained 5 pounds since quiting the analogs . . food just seems to taste so much better ..

That makes sense, too. Maybe your appetite will level out once the novelty of actually being able to taste food wears off.

Do you vape sweet flavors or prefer the tobacco kinds?

Mostly tobacco flavors .. although I have some apple that I find appealing and I'm using it right now .. never been a fan of the sweet liquids .. and they always seemed to clog up my cartos much faster ..

Ahhh maybe its a Man thing?! Tastes come back, and the fridge gets cleaned out. Women tend to board eat(snack). Vapin keeps me from random snacking. IDK, but what I do know for sure is that NO MEAT SHOULD EVER BE VAPED. I tried some Bacon the other day..... yep tasted like Bacon.... and for the first time in my life, that wasn't a good thing!

If I don't make as many trips to the fridge, I don't gain weight. Works better than exercize. :)

I think you're onto something! For me, snacking is the much bigger problem than eating at meals. I snack less now.

Absolutely!

I've read that exercise doesn't do nearly as much for you to lose weight than simply eating less. While exercise is good for your heart and muscles, the amount of calories expended from an hour of working out is no match for those extra calories from too much foody goodness.
