Hello there. Some of you may remember me asking a lot of questions about reo mini in past few weeks. Well I received my order (international shipping) and while I loved the first day It went down the hill from there. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here, let me explain.

First thing I noticed is the battery only gives strong vapor for 10 - 20 mins (not vaping constantly because 510 atty heats up and it just cant handle it.)

My 510LR is at 1.5ohm maybe thats a little too low? I remember enjoying the flavor and vapor on mega tank atty more than on this lr but then again I used to drip tip on 510lr before. I bought AM IMR 14500 batteries in order to have a good performance till it suddenly dies, thats not the case - the voltage seems to be going down untill it just isnt making much vapor. I thought AM IMR just cut off when dead, It seems to be that they are worse than my ego 650mah with lr dual coil cartos. I think I squeeze the bottle correctly so it shouldn't be the case here.

Any help? I'm sad to admit that i think I used to enjoy mega tank more...

The AW IMR deliver more amperage than protected batts. Good for LR atties, as protected batts often have trouble with tripped protection circuits or intermittent firing. Not an issue with standard resistance atties. Nowhere is it stated that AW IMR will provide the same voltage until discharged - that would imply regulation, they are not regulated.

That said, I don't 14500 batts, any brand any chemistry, simply because they don't last long enough - for me. Any 3.7v batt comes off the charger at about 4.2v, by the time it gets to 3.9 I'm unsatisfied with the vape - usually about 6 hours. With the 14500, that doesn't take very long - for me. You may need a bigger battery device so you can vape longer.

Two things, First, 1.5 ohms is a hot vape and perfect for us TH junkies, but you may not be one. It is also too hot for most sweet juices. Second, low flavor is usually a flooded atty. Before you give up on the AW IMR's, which are a GREAT battery for the Mini, try some Boge 2ohm cartomizers. That should give you a good consistent hit without worrying about whether you have your atty technique down pat.

A lot of times you think the batt is going down on you but its just a case of slowly flooding the atty.

I was guilty of this the first few months of REO vaping.

I'm not talking about flooding it all with one squonk .... just squonking too often and it gets over full over a period of time.
Try blowing the atty out when you think the batt is giving up on you and starting over with an almost dry (empty) atty.

See if that might help you.

That said, I could never live with a 14500 device as my main or only vape ..... just doesn't cut it.

im going with the "flooding the atomizer" theory too. i dont have much experience with the 510s, but with 306s..the slightest bit of sucking a tad too hard would flood my atomizer...

it really did take a while for me to get the technique down perfectly..i found while learning to squeeze correctly that flooding was much easier to do than actually getting it right

try this, take out your atomizer and blow out all the juice from the threaded end. drop 4 drops in there, vape until you get the burnt taste...drop another 3 and continue. (basically just drip directly onto the atomizer instead of using the squonk method)

do this for a while and see if you get the same problem. either way this will at least.solve.your problem or eliminate a potential reason

i use 1.5ohm 306s with the aw imrs (along with so many others) so we just have to eliminate potentials.

its either flooding your atty as mentioned above, you need a new atomizer, or you got a bad battery. but im almost sure youre flooding it.

dopeh what batteries do you use then ? So realistically AW Protected 14500 750mah should last me more than ego 650mah right? I have AM IRM 600mah so it isn't too far away from ego, maybe its the atty gets hot after few puffs.
I don't use the mini because of the batts. I only use a Grand or Woodvil. Your eGo batt will last longer than a 14500, it's different in that it's regulated at 3.3 or so, to be consistent and save power. The mAh rating is not always telling of performance. Also, the lower you go in Ω, the more power it will draw from the batt.
