yeah, imo you shouldnt be vaping in there anywho. unless you were like an employee in a room or something. but shopping there? nahhh

Yeah I really think stores are not the place I want to be vaping. It will only make people more offended.
I'm wondering if it wasn't just a coincidence. What made you believe it was your vapor that set off the alarm?
Just another thing to worry about! I have been known to take an easy hit at my local grocery store, Wallmart, Sam's and Lowe's 
I doubt that you set the alarm off. Aren't they somewhere in the ceiling which is about 15 ft above you? I hope you didn't have a guilty look on your face lol

I never could set off a smoke alarm no matter how hard I tried.
I'm on the boat as the others as why were you vaping in a grocery store? With all of the bills trying to be passed, I don't think the grocery store is the place to do it. Surely you can go 15 minutes (maybe I'm weird since I shop that fast) without vaping?

Yeah! no the best idea, if i most vape in a store, i make sure nobody sees me and i hold the vapor in my lungs
a bit longer to dissipate the vapor as i exhale quickly, its barely visible that way, or i go into the bathroom for a
quick vape, but always being mindful of others, we most try to not give vapers a bad rep.....

When it went off I was digging for my credit card at the register and thought absoultly nothing about it. I looked at the cashier and a few employees started looking concerned and I thought ugh, how annoying! Lol
It continued to go off as I grab my bags and walked out of the store. As I got in my car and started digging in my purse for my Lemo (on a Provari) it hit me....
There was no one in line behind me and I forgot to get potato chips. I don't usually puff in stores, it was in my pocket, I was looking for my particular brand panicking about holding up the line. I evidently grabbed it out of my pocket, took a super big hit, found my chips, ran up the isle and before I got in the open area where anyone could see me I blew it out. When I blew it out I thought wow I'm glad I did that before anyone could see me, it was just a huge cloud!!! About 15.. 20.. 30 seconds later IDK but not long (just about enough time for that cloud to get high enough into the ceiling) the alarm went off ...

There was someone standing in line waiting but they were NOT annoyed at me, they were annoyed at the VERY loud, annoying alarm, ekes!!!

Well this is your WARNING! There ARE smoke alarms in the bathrooms too haha. Maybe not the oxidation type that haze/smoke/vape sets off, but I wouldn't want to find out
Evidently there are several types of alarms and some are "visual", I googled it in the parking lot!
hate to be an ....... but, if you could not smoke cigarettes in a grocery store when you were a smoker, then you can not vape in a grocery store. Just because its not illegal doesnt mean you should... now heres me being an ....... - i need to go let a massive fart out in front of the fresh vegetable aisle, hopefully no one notices, while im at it let me go pick my nose and leave my boogers on the tomatos, i also feel like taking a crap, i wont wash my hands and then ill feel every orange in the fruti aisle to make sure theyre not soft, that's not illegal right? This is why I don't vape where I can't smoke. I'd set off a smoke alarm and the papers would all read "LUNATIC VAPER TRIES TO BURN DOWN STORE FULL OF CHILDREN!"
Absolutely! These stores have ceilings twenty feet high, if not more. I doubt the Legal Vape 4000 would get the alarms going.
I posted this to "share the knowledge" that it CAN and DOES set off smoke alarms which I just learned (watching videos on YouTube).
I didn't post this to have "strangers" tell me "what I can and can't do", nor is it YOUR place to do so. To tell what you do and how you feel is obviously different than you sir ^^^ and Moderated Alice!
I'm a big girl and just so happen to be quite educated so please don't feel compled to tell me what I can do!

I can't believe how uppity some of the people on here are being to you. It doesn't sound like you were puffing on your stuff like a choo train through the store. I didn't know or even think about the possibility of setting off the smoke detectors with my set up and now I'm worried I might set one off in my apartment, haha!
Anyways, I was just kind of appalled by how mean some of these people were to you. I know it's the internet, but it always annoys me when you have these pretentious Moderated who think they're just the best thing since sliced bread deciding how everyone else should be and act. What's wrong with vaping in stores in particular, anyways? The whole thing I saw on TV when vaping was getting big was "YOU CAN DO IT IN STORES
." And some of these reasons for not doing it, like the "not washing hands after going to the bathroom not being illegal" thing, don't make sense. They aren't banning bathrooms to prevent this, they just expect that you'll wash your produce when you get it home.
I'm mindful when I go into stores and typically leave mine in my pocket or purse, but if I go out to dinner or lunch and it's not crowded, I just ask the servers or someone who works for the place if it's cool if I vape. Normally, they don't give any cares and tell me to go ahead.
If the place is crowded, I'll just wait until I'm out of where ever. It's about being considerate and not being up in people's faces with your vaping.
God forbid you just habitually take a puff while you're in a hurry without realizing or even WHILE realizing. *eye roll*
Anyhoo, just thought I'd leave my opinion here. c: I don't think you did anything wrong and if that happened to me, I think I'd have a heart attack and avoid the Kroger for a few weeks in fear, lol!
