I'm not diggin 6volts AT ALL! I was taking it pretty easy only holding the button for 1-2 seconds at a time, keeping the atty good and soaked and it burned out my favorite 801 within an hour. It was a well used atty and 3 months old so I wasn't too suprised. Stuck a brand new one on there and it's working fine but the flavor is really tasting on the burnt side. Also my tounge was starting to get irritated after half a day yesterday. I usually vape constantly for about 2 hours before I go to bed but last night I didn't even want to use my 401. I guess I kind of got a nicotine OD from the Chuck. Another weird thing happened last night. I was watching TV holding the Chuck puffing every 20-30 seconds when I noticed I wasn't getting the vapor I was a little while earlier and it started feeling a bit warm. Then warmer. I took the batteries out and they were smoking hot. Too hot to even hold. I was really afraid they were gonna blow up. I put them outside to cool down and checked the voltage later on and they were still at full charge 3.7volts. I noticed a lot of juice around the connector between the positive and negative when I took the atty off. I don't know if that could have caused it (I doubt it) but when I cleaned it all up those batteries were working fine. I don't know what caused them to heat up like that.
Anyway, I'm gonna order a little Chuck next week and along with it I'll get the inner sleeve for the big Chuck to use the 3.7v batteries. For now though I'm sticking to the VAPRE 51 with 3.7 volts. Hats off to Jeff though. This Chuck really is well made and I'm glad I have it.
