I have a DSE901-T and i use an atomiser and its the most annoying thing of all.

When i had the original DSE901 i had to change the atomiser every 3 days (?????) and now i have this tank system i am findning the atomisers last the same amount of time. From what i hear cartomisers are cheaper and can last around 2 days so i think i may switch the ecig model completely and start on cartos... what do you think guys?

Some people like cartomizers, others swear by atomizers. I'm in the atomizer group. My atty's last an average of around 4 to 6 weeks. The one I'm using now, a Joye 510 LR has been in constant use for over 3 months. I've used 901's on an adapter with the same results. If you're only getting 3 days out of each one I would suspect there's something else going on, not just bad atomizers. I usually get a week to 2 weeks out of a cartomizer before they start tasting nasty.

By the way, KR808-d1 carto's will fit on a 901 battery. I don't know if they'll fit on a 901-T though, but someone else may be able to let you know about that.

3 days seems much too short a time for an atty to last.

Carto's are great though , and they are much cheaper .

You should give them a try.

I to got tired of atties not living up to hype went to cartos and never looked back. Cartos ease of use, consistency and low cost wins for me.

Going to get a new model sometime and try these out. This DSE901 is probably the worst model i have ever bought

I went through MANY 901s before I realized it was best just to get a mod. It's cheaper and I can do anything I want and try all the juices I want. I wish I would have just paid the money for a lavatube at the beginning.

Basically what i have been thinking for weeks

i use 801 atomizers on a 5v pass thru and the one i am using now has been used exclusively for over five weeks. i have had one last over three months. the trick is don't suck um dry. i drip three drops take 6 long drags and then re drip, surly that's got to be at least as cost effective as using a carto. i rest my case .

kr8 cartos will fit on a 901 battery but they won't fire. It's an airflow issue. You can put 901s on a kr8 but not vice versa. Just had to clear that up.

I never had an issue with 901s lasting for only a few days. Attys always last 3-4 weeks. Are they not working or just hard to draw? You may just need to do some cleaning and maintenence. Wash the connectors with isopropyl alcohol. They get grungy quick. If you are popping the coil, then yeah. Better to get some cartomizers. It's just there has to be something to this that we could diagnose and fix......

What he said. But, the kr8s do work just fine with a threaded adapter on a VV mod. (510-901/kr8). I've found that cartos simply wont fire hot enough on an eGo batt. YMMV

Still, I swear by atomizers. 3-4 weeks nearly every time for nearly 3 years now for me -- including a *refuse to die* Joye 302 that went a ridiculous 5 months and still worked when I retired it a champion. LOL

I'm on my 6th week with two Eastwood 510 cartridge attys; 5th week with two Joye 510 tank attys (one of which is much hotter than the other) with no problems. I'm now into using VECs for two weeks and began having problems two days ago. Yesterday, I visited the store and they told me to clean them daily....blow them out from the threaded end and wipe them out. Did that and they work like brand new. The 510 attys are soaked in alcohol every other day or so.

My visit to the store yesterday was motivated by worry from reading various threads about poor performance and failure of attys. So, I purchased a couple more 510 tank attys....they only had one VEC atty, and I discovered the Ego-C atty works fine on the VEC battery. Nice, in that the Ego-C atty has replaceable elements that cost less than a third that of VEC tank attys.

Can you guys believe my good fortune?

Do you mean that these atomizers last 2 or 3 days before you clean them, or 2 or 3 days before you throw them out? Also, if you're talking about throwing them out, are you throwing them out because they need cleaning, or are you throwing them out because they don't heat up at all?

I think these are very important questions for you that nobody's bothered to ask. Important because an atty can last me from 4 to 8 weeks. I clean them when they aren't good anymore. Can't be positive, but I think I've only popped one because I was careless.

Aha, Charlz. I scanned through the thread to see if the OP mentioned the reason he's tossing attys after two days. He never said, so I assumed that nobody asked. It's very unusual for them to consistently go dead after a couple of days. However, depending on the liquid mix being used, they can taste bad after a couple of days. I'm suspecting that this is the issue and he just needs to clean them.
