I've been vaping a Kicked Grand for quite a while. I had my Kick held in by the erasure method ...my McGiver invention. Lately I've been having to give the Kick a little nudge once In a while to make a good ground contact to the side wall of the Grand. This was becoming more frequent. I cleaned stuff up, applied Noalox etc but I kept having intermittent problems. This went on for several months. Finally I cut some wire and installed it. Problem solved. I haven't had a bad hit since.
Today my vape wasn't going well so I looked at my coil in my A7. It was pretty gunked up. I vaped til my A7 was fairly dry and then thought I would try one of those "dry burns." We'll I got those coils good and hot and could see there was lots of ashy stuff on there so I used a toothpick to knock the stuff off then I blew it off. I'm using silica wicks. Well that coil is hitting like a freight train again.
Don't know why I'm so slow to try things out but I'm having a great vape now. A little wire and dry burn did the trick.
