But but but! If I cough hard enough and long enough I can clear the rattles out of my lungs when I'm laying down! (At least for a while...) So coughing is a good thing, isn't it?

Anyone else in serious denial about their smoker's cough at the time? I know I was...

Yep. Me too. The difference after a few months is amazing (after 45 years of a pack or more a day).:)

I had smoked for 40 plus years (mostly 2 pad). My cough was bad but not serious (except when I tried anything above a moderately fast walk). My problem was a severe chest rattle. When I laid down I would have to twist and turn to find a position that the rattle would decrease. I received my 510 in the early morning and put down the analogs forever (didn't intend to but it just happened). That same night the rattle was gone and has not returned (it'll be 4 years come Sep. 11). Snoring is still a problem sometimes.
