Great advise on this thread. First, you do have to really want to quit, to have a chance at quitting. Second, you really do need strong enough hardware and juice to power through your cravings. Start high and drop down is my suggestion. It took me four years after discovering vaping to be able to quit because the power and the juice was not there. They didn't have ego batteries and 24 mg/ml juice at the mall kiosk when I first tried in 2009. By 2011, they still didn't have enough juice and power. By February 2013, the ego batteries and high strength nic juice was enough to satisfy my cravings, though I chain vaped to make that happen. Look, it takes what it takes. The right gear and the right mindset and you can satisfy your addiction. I found the paraphernalia (vape gear) was just as addictive and satisfying as vaping. At some point, as long as I continue to buy the gear, I may be able to get off of vaping. That way I can be addiction free. You guys all helped me as well. You are my support system in many ways. Thanks again.

Try changing your habits.
When u first wake up, vape instead of smoke.
Then if u want to have a regular smoke after a bit do so.
When u drink coffee, vape first. Then is u want a cig go ahead.
Then maybe you can try to finish that cup with your vape.
After u eat, vape instead of smoke.
If u drink, vape on that first sip, vape til your done.

For me it was all about changing he habits,
yeah I may still have minor thoughts about a cig.
But I pres forward, but then again I vape like there is
no tomorrow........
Just remember whatever it is u did that u grabbed for that
smoke grab your vape first. Vape is always the first option.
Hope that helps and for the recored, the fact that
you shared what you are going through is the beginning of
taking away the power of the analogs (cigs) over u.
Smoke if u want through the day. But always make
the vape the first option.
Watching your triggers and your habits are key.
At least for me

You have already stopped smoking real cigs.
U just haven't realized it yet............. ;)

With the ecig what I have found is there are a few variables in the vape that can really help with the stopping smoking.

1. Find a juice you really like. Might be a tobacco flavor or might not. I started thinking I wanted a juice as close to the taste of my old cigarettes as I could get. T Urns out what actually worked for me was fruit flavors.

2. Find a battery device that is comfortable for you. Could be a cigalike or it could be an ego style or it could be a big battery PV. I like to suggest people start with something like and ego twist or a spinner which is mid sized. Provides a more consistent and satifying vape than a cigalike without getting gienormous.

3. Find a juice delivery system that is comfortable for you. Here focus on the duration between fillings, the amount of vapor, the heat of the vapor, the throat hit, and the fiddle factor. If you are not getting the amount and sensation of vaping that satisfys your needs then try a different device. There are many to choose from and what works for someone is pretty individual.

One other thing I had to do was serious work with my cravings. For example the first thing in the morning cig I handle with a menthol juice at a higher level of nic than I vape the rest of the day. The after dinner smoke I handle with a really GOOD dessert liquid and savor it much like someone would savor brandy after supper.

Drink water. Vaping dehydrates you badly. This is no joke. Water and more water.

When I ordered my first cigalike kit, it was only out of curiosity. I had no intention of quitting whatsoever. It just eventually happened (this website played a very big role.) As I explored the world of vaping through ECF, my desire for cigs started diminishing. I understand what others are saying about suggesting nic levels. However, it does not hurt to have a variety of nic levels to experiment with. If you are vaping a certain nic level and its just not doing it for you, step up a notch and see if it helps. Good luck, and keep trying... ;-)~

This. No need to give up smoking all at once. I didn't even consider it quitting...I was just changing the delivery method.
