OK, so I posted this at the end of my last thread and I'm getting too impatient waiting for a response because I'm ready to place my first order today...like NOW...so excited!

So my question is about the lifespan of an atty. The general consensus is that you can get 4-6 weeks out of an atty at best. So here's a hypothetical...

If I do dedicate one atty to each flavor (say for example 1 for menthol, 1 for a coffee flavor and 1 for a fruity flavor), does that mean the atty will last longer since I'm not using the same one continuously throughout the day?

If I am rotating 3 different attys throughout the day, does that mean each will last about 3 months? Or does an atty only last about one month regardless of how much (or how little) I use it?

The main reason I ask this is because of the killer warranty through both Heaven Gifts and Health Cabin in China honoring the 6 month factory warranty on Joye 510 attys, no questions asked. I even emailed them to confirm and asked "so even though an atty is only supposed to last for 1 month, you'll exchange it if it doesn't last 6 months?" The short answer in broken English was Yes, and they even suggested to wait until I had several to ship back AND to do it at the same time I may be placing another order to save on return shipping. They're practically giving them away after the initial purchase. Of course I'll eat some shipping costs, but this is still a great deal if I go through enough attys in 6 months.

I know, sounds too good to be true, but we'll see what happens after I return my first batch of dead attys.

Anyway...long story short..does an atty last a month regardless of usage, or will it stretch longer if I only use it once or twice a day? If they last a long time with rotating use, then its probably not a good deal because I won't have very many dead attys and shipping is expensive.

Hope all this makes sense. Thanks for insight!

Different atty's models have different lifespans in general.

As long as your flavor does not leave a residue that builds up, then in theory the above "should" be true in general.

From reading a vast ammount of posts on atties here, I have come to the conclusion that through use, the resistance on the atty gets higher and higher, till it burns out. Less usage (while still keeping them wet while in use) "should" give them more longevity.

If you dont use it, it shouldn't burn out. If you use it less, it should last longer, your results will probably vary as atty's are NOT an exact science and no 2 are really equal.

Some atty's may arrive dead from factory, some may last a few days, some may last a few weeks, some may last a few months or more.

Things that affect it are:

Type of atty you are using, ie 510, 801, 901 etc.

Brand to some degree. Some brands come from same manufacturer so are the same. Others may not be, ie generic clones etc.

Type of juice you use, ie build up/residue.

How often you vape, ie it is an electrical device and will burn out like a light bulb eventually. Using it less often "should" result in using it for a longer timeframe. The coil is similar to a filament in a light bulb, different atty's use varying thicknesses and lengths (and perhaps types of meterials) in the atty's.

I had 3 M401 atties die in less than a month. I started using a "used" 510 around the same time and I still have all of them and they work fine. I've really punished the one I'm using now and after 3 months it's still works fine and I really don't have a good cleaning habit.

That being said, it'll depend upon what PV you are using. As you could imagine I would probably recommend a 510 but as most know, if you ask for suggestions you'll get many answers.

Good Luck

Only a week into it but I've been using the same atty the whole time and it works perfectly on every drag. Vaping 24mg Ruyan 4 at a rate of about 3-4 carts a day with direct dripping in the evenings. Always smoked Marlboro lights and never touched any kind of flavored tobacco (pack and a half a day) and actually ordered the Ruyan 4 on accident (vanilla/caramel kinda flavor they say but too me it's a nice marlboro substitute that's slightly sweet) and I'm loving it. Haven't touched or wanted an analog since my order was received.
