Even tho' I feel like Daniel in the Lion's Den... Yes to keeping the Forum open to all.

Matthew 5 (Message)
11-12"Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don't like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.

WOOT! WOOT! :p

You know a troll and a seeker could act just alike. Who are we to say no....and, a troll could turn into a seeker. This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where we put up or shut up. If any of us, and I am mainly talking to myself, feels they are about to lose it, stop posting. Don't get in the way of the Holy Spirit. I've been reprimanded by the Lord and it's not fun. However, if valid points are to be made, by all means post it. We're cool!:2cool:

There's something else that no one has mentioned so I don't know (don't think) Angus mentioned the option. I belong to 2 other Christian forums at the moment. "Visitors" are able to view all (or almost all) posts. However, they are not allowed to post anything until they join the forum. This gives "seekers" (and Christians who are not members yet) the opportunity to see how the gospel is presented here and to see if they want to join. If it turns out that they're trolls or just want to stir up trouble, their posting priviledges are are revoked. I wouldn't mind seeing if that would be possible.

I don't post much but read often... I vote leave it open.

This is my favorite social group on the forum and if there is even a slight chance that someone is hurting or seeking, this group would be able to respond to legitimate questions or prayer concerns.

I'm sure we've all been subject to some unkind remarks about our religion and have lost friends because of our beliefs in real life but sometimes that's just part of the Christian life. Everyone didn't love us before we were Christians and everyone is not going to love us now.

Hi...sorry once again I am playing catch up here in the forum. I have just been going to the Bible study thread exclusively until tonight so I am behind the curve here with the rest of you. I say keep it open and if there is a way to keep people who are not members from posting but who could still read our posts would be a great way to go, in my opinion.

I am really surprised that there have been complaints from other members who don't like seeing the Christian Forum listed and see our posts under the "New posts" heading. If it offends them then they should just skip over it. I mean really is that so difficult to do?

I end all of my posts, emails and snail mails with "In God We Trust" because one person complained about a poster in the post office and wrote a letter demanding that they all be removed. The post office complied and they were removed...the offending poster said "God Bless Our Troops!". How one person has this much power constantly amazes me. Our country which was founded on Christian principles is now at the mercy of the politically correct. If that one person was so offended by the poster, then why not just ignore it? The earlier post proves my point about one person being offended by seeing this social group and our posts. what a shame. I am so glad I was invited by Lisa to join, otherwise I would not have even known about all of you wonderful people. Thanks Lisa!

Keep it open, because as it was said earlier, we are here as a privilege and not as a right. I am grateful to ECF for allowing us all to post and share our thoughts. I imagine we have more active posts than many others on the ECF, maybe that is where the anger about our posts is originating...just a thought. ;~)

Yea, the politically correct thing gets really tiresome, doesn't it? It's amazing that the word God would offend anyone, I can't even wrap my mind around that either. Seems that the one or two people who are so offended by the word God are the ones that yell the loudest.
