Ok the title is kind of dramatic. A couple months ago I finally started trying clearos. All was going well until I bought this aluminum vivi nova. The atomizer head just kind of teeters. No threads. Is that how it's supposed to be? I will post a picture of the turd in a bit. Is there anyway to fix this? Anything I could try?

Here it is. The atomizer head screws onto the post, and the post just teeters on the base. No threads.

If the pic on the right is the bottom of the stem that the head screws into then yeah your base is broken. That part isn't supposed to come off. However you may be able to remove the head and press the stem back into place on the base, then reattach the head and tank.

Just FYI looking at the head from the OP that is not an original Vision Vivi Nova. It is the Smoktech clone version.

I don't think anything is snapped off. Here's a couple more pics.

Hmm, not sure, but seems to me like the downstem (right) is probably supposed to be 'press-fit' onto that lower portion on the bases stem. (i.e. the slightly rough area below the center post insulator, that you can see had a tiny visible 'shoulder' on it.)

Otherwise, i cant see how it could possibly seal.

*EDIT* poster above agrees. Remove the head, put the base of the downstem on the base's nub and try to tap the stem down until it seats on the base, should be fixable.

BTW: there's no branding on it at all. Perhaps a clone of a clone?

Possibly. The Vivi Nova is a VERY popular style and for good reason. So it stands to reason that it will be copied and copied again. You can tell a Real Vision Vivi Nova from all of the clones I have seen by the heads that it uses. The real Vision brand uses a flat top head while the copies use a pointy metal top head.

Left is real, right is a clone and they are NOT interchangeable.

Just ah, wanted to share this with y'all..... The fix worked :) Filled the vivi nova, and it was working great. Went to the store. My toddler son wanted to come along. He is excited and jumping around, knocks over a tube of sunscreen. Bend over to pick it up ***thud**. Look down and there is a vivi nova with my provari most certainly not attached to it  Yeah, the threads broke off. Oh man, oh man....pay for my things. Get out to the car, then unscrew the vivi nova threads. My device is fine. Back to cartomizers. This vivi nova is seeing some action come target practice day muhaha
Back to the subject now. What brands of vivi nova would you recommend? I know that vision is the gold standard, but which version? Where would be a good place to acquire?

Below is a link to where I get mine from. They carry both the full size and the mini size Vivi's and both sizes in either the normal plastic OR the aluminum tank that is safe for all juices. I get the aluminum body versions so I don't have to worry about juice cracking the tank. The downside to the aluminum tank is it's a bit harder to fill without proper lighting and there is no real way to see how low your juice is getting.
