I have been struggling with vivinova tanks for a while. You know, the ones where you have the replace the wicks every so often?..

I like them when they perform well.. But that is just it, the performance is very inconsistent. It's always either tasting burned, stopped up, or having some type of malfunction. I clean it out every so often.

I don't really want a cardo tank. I don't really want a bottom feeding tank either. I want something new. Something that will deliver a fresh, full hit consistently.

There is so much ecig stuff out there, and the technology is developing so rapidly that I am sure there is something good out there.

I'm reluctant to buying online because I like to be able to go to my local shop to get wicks and stuff. If it is really good, and worth the hassle, I will order online though.

I just would like some feedback and some experience with new tanks. I want something as small as possible. I'm all about portability. I don't want some monster Cadillac ecig.. I want something small, elegant, modest, and effective.

I know you said you didn't really want a carto tank but you should give a Boge F-17 or F-16 tank a try. The cartos that are made for that tank are little workhorses. I have 7 of them and they ROCK! Plus they are only like 5 or 6 bucks! You get the tank with a Boge carto and drip tip all ready to go just fill, prime and vape! For 6 bucks you can't go wrong. You might not LOVE it but you will definitely like it alot. I turned 8 of my vaper friends on to them and they all love them. I use mine on an ego. The 17 is the same diameter as the Ego so it looks great the 16 is bigger (4 ml I think) but still works great on the Ego. I have also tried these on bigger mods like Provari and lava tube and they still work great. They arent glass tanks but again for the money I'm super impressed with the performance. VapeLite is the cheapest at 4.95 + shipping and at Vapor Beast they are 6.00 but shipping is free. Ecigbestsave also carries them. All 3 are very reliable and reputable vendors with very fast shipping. Good luck on your quest

You might look at the new Raven system. I have some of the carto/atty replacements coming to try. It is a fillerless carto which mean atty to me but I will see when they get here. Should provide the taste that fillers seem to mute.

GotVapes PHOENiX Raven™ Tank 510 Bottom Coil 3.5ml 2.6-2.8ohm [gv-PhoenixRaven-3.5ml-CLEAR] - $9.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more
Bottom coil and fillerless? This sounds from its description like a type of clearomizer tank more than what Got Vapes calls a "cartomizer" tank. Just because it "looks like a cartomizer" doesn't mean it is constructed or functions like one. This is such a confusing hobby.

Another thing to check out is the AMP Tank sold by Avid Vapor. On the pricier side of things, but it is a special tank that uses any common dripping atomizer as its heating coil. No filler material like a cartomizer uses.

Also on the pricey side is the "Killer" atomizer. A specially made atomizer (no filler material) that can be used in any current cartotank.

All of the above are in their initial incarnations, and improvements will be made to overcome any flaws in their performance.

Thanks guys! I think I'll just get a carto tank after all. I had one once, but it was a large tank and my small battery couldn't push it.aybe ill have better luck with a smaller carto tank. Ill let you guy know what happens.

I was thinking some kind of fancy new tank that is neither carto or wicks.. If one exists.

As has been said, the size of the tank is not the issue when it comes to the battery being able to handle the cartomizer installed in the tank. Try getting single coil tank cartomizers and a decent tank and see if that works for you. Otherwise you could try your hand at RBA tanks, but that does require at least some trial and error in getting the coils working correctly, so it's not for everyone.

Do you like bottom coils? Check Kanger Pro Tank A PBusardo Review - The Kanger ProTank - YouTube for a glass tank or a Vapeonly BCC A PBusardo Review - The Vape Only BCC - YouTube Both are great, relatively fuss free tanks. I love the Vapeonly better (big capacity, small footprint, accepts any 510 driptip). There's also a mini tank version Vapeonly/ISmoka 1.6ml BCC (Bottom Coil Changeable) Mini Tank Kit. Replacements are expensive, but vapes great and it's a fuss free tank once you get the hang of it.

I agree with this. I liked the vivi, but was burning out heads all the time, switched to a nice f16 and could not be happier. Carto tanks are easy. I have had the same carto in the tank for 2 weeks, still goin strong. Just be sure to fill the carto before filling the tank......happy vaping!!!!! Oh and vaporbeast is a GREAT vendor

Thanks!! That's exactly the kind if tank they were recommending to me. It just sucks because I can't put my skull tip on it. The tips aren't removable.

I'm in the same boat with my wife... I like rebuildables, but I'm looking for something "fiddle-free" for her. I just ordered a Protank and a Vapeonly for her, and want to try the Phoenix Raven next. Let me know if you need any "local" help -- there's a lot of shops in North Texas, and a pretty active FB group including many local vendors.

Ugh, it's too smooth! It doesn't rip like my vivi mini. Unfortunately ill prolly keep vaping my vivi mini because it hits so hard.

Update : the other tank is the same. It's too smooth. Must he the flavor? Damn! I've been vaping 24mg spearmint so I guess 16mg is a little weaker. I'm getting use to it. This tank is actually quite nice. I think in a few days ill get more use to it.

I'm vaping a new flavor they got called "bunz" .. Haha.. It's a cinnamon roll flavor. Is amazing, just kinda mild.

An eVod. Are you into variable voltage? Maybe you need a vv battery. You turn the bottom dial to taste. Depending on the ohms of the head, at 1.8/2.2 ohms this should give you enough throat hit. Try upping the nic a little, or buy one of these THE EGO TWIST IS A GAME CHANGER - YouTube

The L Rider Robust is a compact variable voltage PV that uses a replaceable rechargeable battery. The battery is only a 14500 battery, which you might find disappointing if you plan to use low resistance juice delivery devices at higher voltages. If you use a standard or high resistance (2.0 - 3.0 ohm) delivery device at reasonable voltages (3.5 - 4.5 volts) it could be a nice PV for the price.
