Sad times. My wife lost my Buzz. :(

Happy times. I get to buy a new mod. :)

After I got my Buzz, I started using Cisco LR 306's and I've been vaping 3.7v exclusively. Since I'm not using VV much these days, I'm just going to get a straight 3.7v mod this time. I've been looking for a while now and so far I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.

The features that my next mod absolutely must have are:

  • Mechanical Locking or Touch Activated Switch
  • Fits 18650 IMRs
  • A clean elegant look

The only mods I've found that meet the first two of my criteria are the Saber Touch and the GG, but I'm not enamored with they way either of them look. I'm pretty sure my research was thorough enough that I'm not missing something. Before I go ahead and order one of those, is there anything out there with a locking/touch switch that uses 18650s?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already looked at all of the above and none of them suit my needs.

I would have already bought a Precise if it had a locking or touch switch. They are gorgeous and are the standard for elegance in my opinion.

I might have already bought a Precious, if they were available. I suspect the battery life will be less than stellar though since it's stepping up a 3.7v battery to handle the VV feature. Battery life is my reason for wanting 18650 and plain old 3.7v.

The cutoff on the ProVari switch isn't enough in my opinion. Cisco LR 306s can easily go dry and burn the wick in 16 seconds. Plus that red button and digital display make it just plain ugly.

I guess at this point I'm going to go with a Saber Touch. My only real gripe with it, looks-wise, is the fact that the caps are wider than the body. I'd prefer if they were flush. Can't have everything I suppose. :)

I would suggest the Reo Grand. I ahd an opportunity to try a Reo mini, and it was by far the best mod I have tried. I put my Cisco lr 306 on it and vaped away. I didn't want to stop. I also tried the Phidas and didn't like it as much as the Reo. I believe juice boxes are the way to go. When I get some money together for another PV it's gonna be a Reo.

I wish I'd known about that locking button on the Reo. His site is terribly devoid of information. Guess I should have watched the video. Oh well, I wouldn't mind having another back up. I'll snag one of those the next time I get bored with my current PVs. :)

I did look at the GLV2. I don't like the way they look, nor do I like any kind of branding on my PVs.

The cutoff on the ProVari switch isn't enough in my opinion. Cisco LR 306s can easily go dry and burn the wick in 16 seconds. Plus that red button and digital display make it just plain ugly.

The ProVari has a menu option, which allows you to turn the device on and off. According to those that already have received the ProVari, the device is very easy to use. Not sure if this fits your needs or not.

I have one on order, and from the photos, find it really attractive! However, what sold me are all of the options!

It allows you to view your atty's ohm resistance, view remaining battery charge!, set voltage to between 3.0 (I believe) and 6.0 all via the digital display (no "eyeglass screwdrivers on keychain required), turn activation button on/off (it's basically a clear button, but does blink when you activate the atty, unless you turn off that feature), battery low warning...

As to it being "just plain ugly"... guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...

Edit: Just reread the thread, and I see you've already ordered a Saber Touch. Guess we all get excited about the latest and greatest we have on order...

Enjoy your Saber Touch! I'm sure you're going to love it!
