Nowhere
Hello Everyone,

I've been trying to do some DIY ejuice and I seem to fail every time.

I have flavoring from Flavor West, Mt Baker, Hangsen.
This is what I have tried so far but there seems to be no flavor.

I'm using 50/50 VG/PG as a base.

Flavor West: 5ml of base; 1ml (20%) of flavor
Mt Baker: 5ml of base; 1ml (20%) of flavor
Hangsen: 5ml of base; 5 drops of flavor (Per forum post)

Am I doing something wrong? Could someone please point me in the right direction as
to how much flavor I should be using.

Super Thank You in advance.

I am just a noob in DIY as well, but from my reading, many flavors need to steep before they are what they should be. Also, Hoosier pointed out that adding too MUCH flavor can make it flavorless. The percentages needed for each flavor vary from flavor to flavor as well, not just vendor to vendor. You can need anywhere from 1% to 15% or more depending on the flavor. My reason has told me repeatedly that 10% is a good starting point- so maybe your flavors are too strong? If that is the case then you could mix up some unflavored with the right nicotine load and dilute it down to around 10% flavor. I had to do that with a batch of peppermint that I added too much flavor to and it helped a lot. HTH and maybe a more seasoned DIYer will chime in.

Still new to this, and I think that I will always learn more.

Mt Baker resale Flavor West. So it should be the same.
I think that you are using too much flavor. Most that I successfully mixed are between 7% and 10% of flavor. But I also experience that the flavor change greatly based on the atty that is used. I use mostly low resistance on an eGo battery and 7% Extreme Ice is perfect, not too strong. But on a high resistance atty, I have to bump it up to 12-13%.

Taste is subjective. YMMV.

I found the fw/mt baker dutch apple pie to be good at 15 % and I just dilluted the bannanas gone nuts down to about 12% from 15% it smelled awesome but It didn't vape well or tast like much n was pretty dark. Recipes that take days n weeks to steep I'm finding can be little frustrating. But hopefully patients and perseverence pays off I'd suggest dilluting using a ejuice calculator 3-5% @ a time. Peace.

You are using too much flavor start at 2/3% and work up. Diy takes some trial and error at first. JUst about all of the flavors are different as far as how much you need and there are several threads here somewhere that list recommended amounts people have posted. Always read the reviews when you buy flavor lots will say what % they had good results with. I know the caramel cappuccino from the flavor apprentice is overpowering at 1 drop in 10ml to me.
