In your circle of friends/coworkers/family, are you the only one vapin'?

like giving up smoking, it is something a person has to want for themselves. I am not sure why I was so sold on the idea of ecigs in the first place really. A colleague told me about them after he had seen someone with one who he had spoken to (he has one, but I have never seen him use it). I was fascinated and looked it up online straight away.

It's funny that you mention this because I had to sit here and think why did I want to try this. Like a lot of smokers, I didn't want to quit smoking. I liked smoking, I liked the way it made me feel (for the most part), and I liked the way I looked doing it...haha. So for me, I wanted to try vaping because I hated that I smelled like an ashtray. My partner didn't like kissing me and people didn't like to be around me when I smoked. So now, instead of getting glares from non-smokers, I'm getting inquistive looks.

Whenever I try to upsell these things to friends and family I go with the "smell factor." It's one thing that even smokers can agree with - they stink.

One of my co-workers converted me. I never thought I could give up smoking but always wanted to. I believe I can now, just like he did. Hes asked for a drag of my analog before I think more out of curiosity and then goes back to his ecig. My lungs are in bad shape and I'm sick of being out of breath at only 27. It embarrassing to say but I have even been weasing since my very early 20s, but now that I really feel I am about to quit I can talk about it.
I've been smoking for 15 years, wish me luck ya all!

I've converted 2 of my colleagues--one of whom is on this forum, and one of whom is not, but is an ardent e-cig evangelizer. My fiancee vapes occasionally as well--she smoked occasionally before. I'm working on 3 more. People either love the idea or they hate it, it seems. I think those who love it are the ones who kind of want to quit smoking because it's bad for them but still smoke because they like it and hey, it's addictive. Those who hate it, I don't know about them--I'd say they're risk-averse, but they're smokers... :|
