I had a similar experience when I first started using a REO. I wasn't a huge fan of the shape (it is still growing on me). It wasn't hitting hard at all. And I just wasn't super impressed. Then the guy I was borrowing it from gave me some noalox and told me how to clean it. It helped a lot. But I still wasn't completely impressed. One day at work, I was using my other mech with a 1.25ohm carto tank and it was flooding like crazy. It was just pissing me off. I put it in my bag, pulled out the REO with a boge on it and it worked well enough and made me super happy. So then I just decided to buy a RM2. I figured, worse case scenario, I could sell it on the classifieds if I didn't like it still. Wrapped my first coil one it a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. And on Tuesday, I got my very own REO, which hits even better than my buddy's that I was borrowing.

Good news Texas. Concerned for you being so disappointed and appreciated your OP as you were not bashing. My DH used REOs exclusively for over two years after moving from Pen Style 801 using cart on atty. Talk about fiddle!! And I straw modded his carts but many times a day he had to top them up. And he carried so many extra batteries it was scary. But then he, by chance, pulled out an eGo battery and Stardust tank I had for loaner and found the shape to be much better match for his ancient, arthritic hands and better fit for overstuffed shirt pocket. Then I got him some Mini ViVi Novas (replaceable atty heads) and VV eGo style.

They are just a better fit for him.

He still goes "Da um, this is great. Can you make my PV hit and taste like this?"when he picks up one of my REOs. (We vape same juices.)

So I was fully empathetic to your experience. Okay, not fully but I really don't care what he/you/they use(s) to stay off smokes as long as he doesn't p*ss and moan too much about hassles using it. DH has learned to keep quiet, for the most part, except when he needs me to order more parts. And, yes, he still does more fiddling than he prefers but mostly keeps it to himself.

BTW.. I've gotten him some slim tube mods like Infinity Pro and skinny, expensive, limited RB tanks but he still prefers the size and lightness of his China setup.

Hi Texas, When i got my first Mini Reo it took about a week before I loved it more than my other type bottom feeders. I just kept using it and learning to squonk right. I did comparisons and in the end sold my other bottom feeders to buy a Reo Grand. I am now waiting on my 4th Reo and a Reomizer

btw if you ever have any more doubts and need help with anything, we will be here.

Update....I said I would give it a fair shot, so after 5 days here's my thoughts....
WOW!!!!
The real deal changer came yesterday when I left my REO and both Provaris' in a hot truck for a couple hours.
When I got back, both Provaris w/ Protanks, were flooded and I like to have never got them going, but the REO worked perfect (tip was hot on the lips though).

I've been eyeing this mod for weeks and this post was exactly what I needed to see to order one. I am a truck driver my tanks flood constantly when they get to hot from the truck being off. I keep 5 full tanks within reach at all times because of it. Right after reading this I ordered a Reo Grand tropical Green (had been watching for a green one so really good timing I must say). And a Reomizer to go with it.

I have some beautiful REOs....I'm vaping on a two-toned purple Grand right now, and I have another purple, a gold, some beautiful woodvils, my white one that I decorate with seasonal stickers, a hot pink..... SO, I've been thinking that I wanted either a black wrinkle or a silvertone or a copper vein....because they just look so dignified, and "grown up".......but NOW I just want a GREEN one!!! Nothing wrong with you -- the green is just so darn pretty. Not my favorite either, however -- we know that Rob sprinkles magical fairy dust on his creations. We're just not immune. lol
