I've been using my Joye 510 (as far as I know, actual Joye attys) and I know the 510s have the stigma of being a bit inconsistant, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong, because sometimes I'll get absolutely killer TH/vapor, and sometimes I'll just get a weak, anemic little vapor wisp.

I have 3 attys, 3 batteries and any it really seems to be just plain luck whether it will give any sort of decent hit that day. I've cleaned the attys in alcohol and them seem to be working (heating up, etc) so I dont think any are dead, but it just seems like something isn't quite right. I've tried slow draws, fast deep draws, dripping, carts, everything.

I've settled on dripping for now, but it's still hit or miss. Can anyone give me some pointers or explain what im doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

IMO all ecigs do this including mods. At times they will work good and then at times they don't. I just switch out atomizers until I get one to work. I don't know what is causing this. I have been vaping 11 months so I know I am doing everything correct.

When this happens the first thing I do is blow the atomizer out and sometimes this helps.

Forum members will tell you what to check for and what you can be doing wrong but the fact remains they are still inconsistent.

fuel injection will put the personal vapors of today way ahead of whats available now.its not the only thing,, just one of them.try the dart mod for carts.it works really well.:)

A quick google turns up the blue foam dart cart mod. Is that what youre referring to? Would the same principle work with fluval foam? Becuase that's whats in my car now.

My bf and I are big fans of the pyramid tea bag mods. (and these are the actual fabric pyramid tea bags, which are not always in the grocery store. Target stores seems to carry them)

We use these exclusively now (he's using a 905 "screwdriver" mod and I'm switching between a 510 or 901).

Our biggest problem so far has been accidently flooding the attys. Keeping them at just the right amount of full seems to be the trick. I also fill them and let them sit for a few minutes (again, for some reason this seems to help).

in my experiences, using mods and using stock, it usually happens when your atomizer gets flooded. not to the point where its leaking...i use silicone plus/zero filler carts. happens more with PG liquid cause its thinner. and im still working on perfecting my setup. but yeah, typically, a little too much juice gets in there and prevents it from vaporizing properly. i vape constantly and rarly put mine down. i have to clean my attys out at least once a week with current setup.

how i clean mine.. i have a large medical syringe with a rubber tube on the end that fits over the non threaded end of my atomizer. and i pretty much just fill up a glass with boiling water (i let it cool a wee bit first) and just dip it in and plunge it through a few times. after that i blow it out my air compressor (or a can of compressed air) til its dry. after that, i plug it up to my USB passthrough and let it heat up (bout 15 seconds) while blowing into it, then let it cool. and i repeat that until i can see the coil glowing red and no more vapor coming out. then, add about 3 drops directly onto it and its good to go.

I think martha's pretty spot on - sometimes they get 'soft' on their blow/vape for no real reason. I think at times its the atty coil getting a bit gunked and then it burns it off so its fine but its hard to pin it down. I drip too, and blow out often, never clean except when the draw feels really bad (as in it looks like its dying) and then only in hot running water. Ive had my attys for 3 months, all of them from cignot, and they all work pretty much the same as when i got them (a bit softer draw tho but the expected kind). Some days they work wonderfully and some days as I said a little soft but it usually rights itself without much input from me.
Haven't had to toss one yet at least.
