Hey all again, been vaping since August 2012 now, haven't gone back to analogs since. Initially I was using the ego starter kit but once I discovered the stardust v2 or is it v3, I haven't gone back to atomizers.

In Sep/Oct period I got the adjustable voltage ego 650mAh and used it with the stardust, it worked like a charm. But in Nov when I ordered new stardusts, I begin to get the burn taste in almost every coilhead I used. I tried dry burning, cleaning everything, even new ones were giving burnt taste.

So I decided to go with Mini Vivi Novas and again, it worked fine initially for about 2 weeks, but now I'm having problems with them. It seems like the vape is not as smooth as before. At times, its almost like there's a lot of water in the middle of the vivi nova, I had to physically empty them. The taste is also not there, I know sometimes I got to 'break' in the taste, like after a day or two then the taste gets better but its not working. This is with the ego 650mAh.

On another note, I used the stardust with the smaller ego batteries from the starter kit and its working again, no more burnt taste. So maybe stardust needs a less powerful battery? But how come it worked so well before.

vaping is great but seriously is anyone having these problems too? I mean I just want a consistent vaping experience whenever I change the coilheads or change clearomisers, be it stardust or mini novas.

Btw I use HC's vanilla flavor if that counts.

What ohms clearomizer ? And what voltage are you setting at?

Regarding the vivi nova, it could be due to your rubber cap not placed properly or doesn't align with the top cap drip tip hole.

For stardust I use 2.4ohms. Initially with my 650mAH batt I was vaping between 4volts to 4.2volts. But now I can only use it with the ego starter batt, not sure how much volt is that.

For mini vivi nova, I started with 2.8ohms and at 4volts. But now only at max volt 4.8 do I get the same amt of vapour. Trying out 2.4ohm coilheads now, will let u guys know. I'll also take note about the rubber cap but with HC bottles, when I refill, sometimes I can't help but get some in the middle.

ps: Sorry noob science question, does lower resistance like 1.8ohm give u a bigger vape with the same amt of volt compared to 2.4ohm?

Small Red FullStop.
what if im using stainless steel mesh wick... will there be burn taste?

Vapor production is more to the type of juice you have rather than the resistance of attys. By lowering your resistance and vaping at the same volts, it only means that the current is higher which may get you a burnt taste.
