I've been getting really dry hits with the stardust (sort of like burnt sensation and taste) occasionally it gives good TH but it is inconsistent.. Any recommendations or advice?

And now the 510 adapter is stuck in the stardust, how to get it out?

So I wanted to change my juice I went on to remove the silicone piece and wash it with warm water as shown here, Maintaining the CE4+ Stardust cartomizer - YouTube
After putting back the pieces and refilling the new juice, I get no vapour at all.. I did the dry burn thing..

Its my only top piece atm and I can't vape without it help! :(

The first and most important advice i can give you is "always get spares!!"
Spare batteries, spare atty, and in your case, spare stardusts.
It sucks when this is the only piece you have and can't carry on vaping because of issues.
Its just like running out of juice.

As for the stardust, my experience with it, is that it is very inconsistent.
I find that i will need to move it or rotate it a lot for it to wick properly.
If it is left it standing, you will have dry hits.
Thicker juices also tend to be more difficult to wick.
The burnt taste you are experiencing is a classic symptom of wicking issues (juice not getting to the coil).

I dont really remove anything when i am changing juices.
Simply inject distilled water ito the stardust, shake a little, and pour the water out. Repeat until the water is clear. (i am assuming you are using a Stardust Ver2 or Ver2.5)

Dry burning stardust is not for me. I find that after dry burning, there is always a burnt taste.
If you must dry burn, make sure you dont overdo it. Once you see the coil STARTS to turn red, stop and repeat the process.

For me, i treat stardust, cartos, CE2 etc as disposables.
Once they stop working, replace with a new one (unless you wanna rebuild them).
These things last anywhere from a dew days to a month according to what i read.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Try cartos in a tank.

Dry burning a long wick stardust will not totally dry it's wick, resulting in no vapor..

Tell tale sign is the white center of wick visible..

If it's your only atty atm, try filling it up with pg and keep burning it, depending on how wet it is, should slowly pick up wicking as more water is burned off..

Burnt taste on stardust is common when vaping too frequently before liquid could wick properly..

Try tank with LR carto, and punch slightly larger lobangs if you need to chain vape, stardust is good as disposables, not long run..

Even with tanks, keep spare cartos at hand..

Yeah, I think I have to get some spares.. But idk how come after like around an hour or so it start working again and not sure if its the juice or the dry burning there is no more dry hits, I changed from 80/20 to 70/30 juice.. But the adapter is still stuck tho :( Guess I'll have to use pliers I hope I don't screw up the threads.

I thought of getting tanks, are they any good?

actually depends on source for juice. i got 50/50 viscosity quite thin. and some other 50/50 quite thick. i also dunno why.

That really depends, some mix 50/50 before addition of flavours which is then mostly PG based, some consider flavours as a percentage of PG then top up with VG accordingly, the viscosity of VG decreases drastically after some 10 to 15% of thinning..

The equipment and habbit of topping up liquid makes a difference too, certain liquid thickens up after being repeately heated in tank, and subsequent top up to the said tank will only eventually lead to a raised viscosity of liquid within, as compared to the original liquid..

After sometime, one should be able to judge how much resistance and style of wick by the tears of liquid on the container..

To keep constant and stable vaping experience, I usually clean tanks once a week, flushing it with VG or PG suffice..

I really think that once you start to find issues with the stardust you should start to move on to try other appliances. They are a really easy to use kit IMHO and I always recommend them but like what Galaxy3 says its should really be treated like a disposable.

Agree, stardust although if properly maintained could be used for quite a prolonged period of time, but due to the design and quality of such, it should be regarded as monthly disposables..

Depending on the liquid and vaping habbit, gunk build up, leaking, loose o-rings and other problems will inevitability happen..

Hi,
Why not try the Vivi Nova V2.5? I just got mine. So far, no leaking and flavor quite good. It is the same as the Ce2's. It also comes with various coil heads with various ohm ratings. The stardust sometimes, the main tube does not align properly, thus some juice will get into your mouth. This is what I have experince so far..Got one stardust to try but not to my liking. Although, it is good because of the bigger tank capacity but still, it has it flaws..

Regards,
Rashid

Thrash it to me! I'll gladly accept all the spoilt stardust as donations :D Still got some spare tubes, wicks and coils given to me by a vendor.

If you are into DIY, stardust can be rebuilt or customized easily if you know how. I'm talking about the earlier versions. The new ones with changeable coils are a breeze to remake. I'm still using the v1 since i've bought them when they first came out late last year. I'm a clearo person, fillers are not my cup of tea anymore. I prefer the clean crisp taste produced by clearos or dripping.

Not sure you guys are talking about the changeable stardust or the normal one. If you are using long wicks, try cutting the wicks short. The fluffed wicks will do its magic even with thick juices, and also prevent flooding to certain extend. Just that you'll have to tilt it more often to wet them when the liquid get low. Plus it can be a real pain to take out the bottom metal ring (unchangeable type) if you don't have the correct tools and technique.

If you encounter leaks, most probably the center post is slanted like what ice have said. Screw it onto a spoilt battery (if u have one) and adjust it with a little strength until the silicon cap seal seamlessly with the tip.
Give it some time also, vision stardust uses thick coils. It will take a while to 'break in' and gives better performance over time. Wash it after every 1 or 2 refills for maximum taste.

Anyway, do get yourself the changeable one next time if you love stardust. So much easier to rebuild and adjust.
