I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!!

I started with a Kgo about a month ago. Everything went really great for about 2 weeks. I was getting frustrated with flavor and also having to drip into carto all the time. I decided to pick up a infinity pro with a 3ML tank and some pre punched boge cartos. I absolutely love the ipro it work great. My problem lies with getting a constant pleasant flavor from my juice. I don't know if its the way I fill the carto or tank. I had this same problem on my Kgo also however.

Basically I can be vaping and everything tastes great. Ill set my PV down for an hour or 2 and when I take another drag I run into a variety of problems. Either it tastes harsh and burns a little, or its seems flooded and its hard to take a drag and also tastes bad. Basically it just doesn't taste "right". I feel like almost every time I vape I really only enjoy about 50% of the puffs. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Right now my process with tank filling is I fill up the carto first, then I fill up the tank. I always leave my pv standing up on my desk or what not with the tank up. I rarely set it on its side. I don't know if laying it on its side will effect anything so I always leave it standing up. I am using 20%VG 80%PG juices mostly. Someone please help me understand what I am doing wrong. I love vaping and need to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Unfortunately I am not experienced with the Kgo; however, I have experienced similar issues when I have set my PV in what it must consider an unfriendly position.

I use a 1.6ml clearo that wicks near the top so it needs to be kept horizontal for best results. Otherwise, I get that same taste you described.

Might try laying it in a different position and see if it helps.

not sure if this will help but,..ive noticed with certain juices (thicker ones) that they seem to gum up the coil(atomizer) if its left in tank overnight or something.
also, with tanks and punched carto setup,...the thickness of the juice will cause a variety of different behaviors. some cartos get flooded easily with thinner juice and/or thicker juice might not get absorbed as fast as you vaporize it,..leaving the door open for dry-hits or a better described "yukky-...-hit".
ive had to make additional holes in carto for some juice, in order to prevent dry-hits. did same thing with a thinner juice and it flooded instantly. so unfortunately like most things vape, you need experience with your particular setup and youll have to work out the kinks.

The issue with it either being flooded or dry after not using it for a while is strange it's usually one or the other.

Flooding issues might indicate that the hole or slot in the carto is to big for the juice being used. Thicker juices require a larger opening.

For the dry hit issues, it's could be the opposite, hole slot opening to small for the juice being used. You can also help avoid dry hits by taking a draw or two before pressing the button, this will help pull some juice up in the carto.

I started with KGOs and cartomizers 8 weeks ago. Everything was fine for a while, and I started noticing the same taste issues. What I have discovered with experimentation, is that I really dislike the taste of the polyfill in the cartomizers. They are "okay" when absolutely fresh, but after a little use, they taste totally yucky to me. So far, I'm having the best luck with Stardusts, and the Vivi Nova tanks, which don't require a polyfill cartomizer.

I also went through a period of "mud mouth" about a month into vaping, when nothing tasted good. Assume it is part of the taste buds coming back to life....it went away after a week or so, but will reappear once in a while....particularly if I vape a lot.
