So today I got my Virgin Vapor Kona Milkshake in the mail, a perfect reason to use my new phiniac. I use my saddle valve on an 801 fusion mega from IKV, it pops, and use a tiny turn. I fill it with no problem and blow the excess out of the center hole. I put it halfway in the tank, top fill the tank. It starts leaking from the bottom of the tank, so I stop filling it and slide it in. I've heard this can happen with top filling, but I can't bottom fill with an 801. juice continues to drip through the hole in the bottom of the carto. Okay, I figure I turned too far and try to punch a new carto. I let it pop and don't turn any further. The holes are tiny, there's no way I messed this one up, so I think. Fill carto. Put in tank, tank leaks a bit out the bottom. Slide carto all the way in. Again, I've already blown through the carto after filling. It starts leaking through the center hole Again! I stopped turning the second I heard the pop. What am I doing wrong?? I've managed to punch larger holes in the exact same type of carto and fill up my IBT tank with no problem. Should I just get a different carto punch? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have pressure in the tank instead of vaccum.

Pushes liquid up the filler then down the hole.

Empty your tank, vape what you have in the carto for a while, refill,no dry draws.

Make sure you see air bubbles coming out of the holes, then you should be fine...vacuum forming.

I've had this happen for two different reasons. The first was I was punching too deep on my Boge XL's which I could determine by trying to look through the air hole after punching, and could not due to the deep punching. Once I fixed that, I had NOT been using a tank tool. Got one from Phiniac and have had ZERO problems since. I believe I HAD been having an issue when sliding the carto up, OR, pushing the top cap on, forcing too much juice into the carto.

Glad you solved the problem. Martinc and Sessiondrummer gave sound advice.

Using a tank filler tool like Big Daddy Vapor's or a new one from GotVapes while filling your tank with the top cap on is another way around the issue you had.

Oh, and enjoy your Kona Velvet Milkshake. It's my favorite juice.

You know, I had Almost bought a tank tool and then I figured I would try without. I'm going to get one, though.

Loving my kona milkshake vape! Its my current favorite coffee type vape, but I'm in the middle of a ton of samples right now so I've not stuck much to just one thing lately.
