Alright everyone, I've had an idea bouncing around in my head like a pinball.

What I've been thinking of is a mod using 2-4 batteries running in series or in a combination of series and parallel to bring the volatage of the entire system up to six volts. Once this is done, it should be a simple matter to hook that up to a switch and a 510 atty connection to make a PV. What I have been tearing my hair out over is trying to find a suitable micro pump that runs at 5-6 volts so that you could add another switch to pump juice into the cartomizer or cart from a resevoir. Now the resevoir will need an inlet valve of some kind to prevent vacuum lock, but that would be easy enough to make with a piece of silicon or plastic tubing and a spring clip on the inside of the resevoir. Do any of you know of somewhere I could source a 5-6v dc micro pump? I've been stretched to the limits of my google fu trying to find one and I'm abour ready to order one of those USB powered fountains and scavenge the pump out of it, but I would much rather something in-line. I did find the ALITA Micro DC water pump that looks like it would work, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to order one without having to directly contact them, and I don't want to do that until I know for sure I can do this.

The casing would have to necessarily large and it hit me last night that one of those large travel mugs or a big gulp cup would be perfect. Lots of room and if anyone else would want one, it would fit in most cup holders. If all of the controls were recessed from the rim enough, it could even use the top it came with. The carto or cart would then be hooked up to a straw as a tip so that it would look exactly like a regular travel mug/big gulp. Not only is it stealthy, but with that many mah's and a large enough tank, it could be used for quite a while before changing out the cart/carto, refilling or needing a charge. If it could be incorporated into the bottom of the device, a USB or AC charger would make it a self-contained system. I have all kinds of soldering and cabling out here along with enough plywood to build the sears tower all over again, so construction wouldn't be too much of an issue with all the time I have on my hands.

What do you all think? Is this something y'all would be interested in seeing? Am I losing my mind?

Cheers

THJ...that almost looks perverted!! :laugh::laugh:

Here is one with an air pump....in this case I had an 18650 running a booster at 5v and the pump was pressurizing a bottle of juice and feeding a 1mm quartz tube with the coil around the tube...so no juice ever touches the coil. Never got around to finishing the build yet though...and yeah...it would be a big mod...but a damn good desktop mod!! :laugh:

Something like this diagram....

nicotime, great e-cigarette to kill your enemies :lol:

Yep...I was going to incorporate a security thumb scanner on it...if the print didnt match mine and they tried to take a hit...it would double boost the voltage and knock them on their ....! :laugh:

I was playing around with this back when a bunch of us were messing around with the Wizard Stick toy. This thread kinda revived my interest in it a little. :smokie:

I would think you definitely want to stay with a peristaltic pump for sterility issues. The fluid never contacts anything but the inside of a flex tube. If you have some fabrication skills you can easily make one with a small motor and a couple of bearings. A stepper would be ideal because of control and low speed torque.

This is a nice one
