i think a manual feed attachment would be the way to go. I think any attempt at an auto-feed system will produce poor results. A manual feeding system will be the way to go. The biggest issue i see is keep it from dripping when not in use, and placing the "button" in a place or enclosing it in a fashion so that it doesn't inadvertently get pressed.

Without being *built in* to the atomizer or body already accommodating the batteries, it would make any large PV even that much larger. Even using 5 - 10ml at a time is still HUGE ... thinking of what 3.7/5/10ml bottles look like
Bottles look sort of fugly, IMO. Something industrial looking and built in would be the bee's knees.
Also, I think that around 2 - 3 ml would be a day's juice for many. If they were cheap enough, I'd get several so I could swap my juice around, which I'm doing now anyway.
