Hi Liquid! I've been a long-time Vaper and reader of ECF, but this is my first post ;)

I had the same issue in general when I switched to vaping. My feeling was of a low-level but continuous stress like the feeling of speaking in front of an audience and they don't laugh at your jokes... Doing a bit of reading, I found that your standard "E-juice" is NOT giving you all of the "active ingredients" an analog cig will. There are nicotine co-factors called "MAOI"s that reduce stress, increase nicotine delivery and give that morning "ahhh" feeling you may have noticed back in the old days of smoking. I found two solutions that worked for me. First was to order "WTA" liquids or Whole tobacco Alkaloid liquid. My supplier was at Vapelicious.com, but his site seems sort of down. The second was to buy a can of Snus as it is also a form of reduced harm tobacco and I'd use it when I was desperate for a "loosening of the screws". Listen to your body and mood and don't let it get to the point that you start setting fire to things again (Just remember, Fire Bad) ;).

I've been vapin for 4 months... Still have two cigs a day, but I guess that's better than the pack a day I was at... I remember during the first week of vaping and no cigs had lots of sweating and vivid dreams... Was using about 3ml a day at 24mg tho... Now down to 1.5ml at 18mg and feel much better... I'd say it's just normal... Definitely not too much nic...

I figure it like this for me, if I was wearing the patch (which I did try and failed at) it was delivering nic to my system 24/7. I am vaping almost constantly to keep the nic level up enough so I don't crave nic. I find I am now putting the PV down for longer periods of time finally now after about 2 months of vaping exclusively. Granted the time my eGo sits is not very long, but it does leave my hand more times in a day than it used to.

It's safe to say vape more. You already know what it feels like to get too much nic.

As for the voice, I'm a singer also. My voice hasn't gotten higher per say, it has gotten stronger and I can hit the higher notes with more ease and control. Cig smoke coats everything, even vocal chords. I LOVE that I no longer have to cut notes short because of running out of breath/air! Even my band mates have noticed how much stronger my voice is. :)

Congrats on the switch. It does get easier ;)

Yes it does get easier. Day 3 and I am noticing some odd changes. I love coffee. LAst two days I have been wasting coffee. Staring at a half full cold cup right now. Weird... I walked by someone smoking today. Didnt make me want one. Made me want to get away from the offensive smell. Wow, what have I been doing to myself all these years feels beyond stupid now. To my surprise I am only vaping about 1.5 to 2ml a day of .18. It took more effort on day one to do that but I am glad I did make myself fight the nic urge a bit. Think my clearo is getting a little weak though. Could just be me.

Yesterday I realized I was holding it in my hand a lot and chuckled to myself comparing it to a passifier.

Yeah I actually went out in public a few days ago. Went to play pool at a bar, walk around town, etc. The bar had reasonable ventilation so it wasn't too bad, but whenever I would get hit with a wave of second hand smoke, it made me ill. I can't believe I was inhaling that stuff for over 25 years.

Am I getting too much nic or is this my body telling me it wants more ?

What brand cigs were you smoking and how many a day? I will help you compute your nic level.

Dont' forget you are also coming off the other thousands of chemicals.

5 hits over 4 hours.......dunno if i'd up your nic level so much as get you at a comfortable level and tell you to vape more often......sort of like blood sugar, you don't eat every few hours your blood sugar drops.

Oh I see you smoked Marboro Lights PAD for 20 years.

They have 0.5 mg of Nicotine per cig.

Pack a day, that puts you only at about vaping 10mg

I would recommend you get juice at 12mg and vape somewhat steadily, about what you would have gotten during throughout the day when you were smoking.

I'm against upping nic levels too high, all you're doing is accustoming yourself to HIGHER nic than you were when you were smoking.

I dunno why people make up what level nic people should start off with. You really have to know what the person's body is accustomed to before you tell them to vape 18mg etc. That's how i mesesed up when I started, taking that advice. I was feeling anxious, restless, and it turns out that it was due to too much nicotine, not too little! As soon as I started to relax into a nic 12mg vape, kind of steady all day, my whole body relaxed again.

FWIW, I smoked RYO Full flavor American Spirit tobacco, but only 1/2 pack a day. I told this veteran here that I was vaping 18mg and he said "that's your problem!" He said I should go no more than 14mg. and he was totally right.
