Hey, so I've posted in various specific forums about my indecision right now when it comes to my out-of-the-house vaping setup, but I decided to post here in an unbiased area. I'm hoping to hear some opinions. A little boring backstory is that I've been vaping for 3 years and have several 18650 variable voltage mods to use at home, but I am still not comfortable vaping a giant metal lightsaber out on city sidewalks. I just don't feel like having to go into an educational pro-vaping lecture every time someone stares or questions me. So, here are the options I'm toying with:

Disposables: I've recently tried some White Cloud Minis and I like them. The Zero K menthol is awesome and super strong, and they cost a third of the price of the almighty NJOY King. With that said, I'd still use a couple a day so it's almost the price of analogs per week. But nothing beats the convenience.

KR808: I'd get either the Halo G6 or the Smokeless Image Volt, with a PCC. They both offer strong menthols, and Halo's Tribeca is pretty much the best juice ever. Awesome size, but constant charging.

808 Ego-style: I could get something like the Halo Tritons, and slap some pre-filled cartos on them. Less charging than a KR808, but much less discreet.

650mah Ego Twists: Yes, I know technically speaking, these are the best option. I can't argue that. HOWEVER, they're even bigger than non-VV 650mah Egos, and the least cig-a-like. Plus, I hate clearos and tanks and love cartos, so that means I'd have to use a 510 carto and constantly top it off, which sucks while walking around at night. (I've tried it.)

Thoughts? I'm expecting a million replies that say "Ego Twist, idiot!" but I'm hoping for more.

Have you considered an 18350 sized mod? I hate to promote Sigeli b/c they totally screwed us on the Tmax but they have a wide variety of telescoping mods that can be used in 18350 mode. If you drip this can be a super small device indeed. If not, many vendors are selling the super shorty cartos that might be ok for an hour or so between fills.

The KTS is nice from Fasttech. I think it was about $22 last time I checked.

try a eroll/emini. Its as small as cigarette. Very good hits. PCC charge will last you all day. The PCC is smaller than an iphone. Just prefill a few tanks and it will last you all day. Uses the eco-c atomizer. Downside, people will ask you if you are smoking Blu.

I had an eRoll and loved the form factor. But... I found that the atomizer cone got so hot after less than a minute of use that I had to vape holding the battery all the way at the lit end. Also, it's a pain to clean the tanks because you have to dig at the caps with your fingernails for 5 minutes to get them off. I gave my kit to one of my best friends. However, the size was awesome, so that's why I'm thinking of a KR808.

Hi, can't really advise you on what to get, but I own three of the different possible choices you listed, so I can tell you about my experiences with those.

I have one 900mah Ego Twist. I bought it last year because everyone here said.... "Get an Ego Twist." I ended up hating the tanks, it's bigger than I felt comfortable with, so it's stuck in a drawer somewhere and I haven't touched it in over seven months.

I have three G6 batteries, I've never used a Volt, so I don't know how they compare, but I've been very pleased with my G6's. My favorite setup with them is using either the Low Resistance Halo cartridges, or the G6 mini-tanks. They also sell a 1000mah Portable Charging Case that you can use to recharge a G6 up to 3 times while you're on the go.

I also have three Halo Tritons, one 900mah, and two 1300mah. I was really surprised by how small the Tritons are. If you look at the specifications on the Triton the 650 mah is actually shorter than the G6 battery. It has more width around, but it's actually shorter in height. Both the Low Resistance cartomizers and mini-tanks fit perfectly on the Triton. You wouldn't be limited to only Halo cartomizers, or mini tanks, because any 808d will fit. My Tritons are what I use the most and am super pleased with.

That's my 2 cents worth, I hope it's been helpful. Good luck, I hope you find something you really like. :)

I think this looks interesting. It has replaceable batteries, like an eCab, but has native 510 threading so regular 510 devices can be used on it (not possible with an eCab). I talked to a member who had one and he said it was quite nice for on the go. It's a bit pricey though:

Manufacturer Anyvape TeCab

(best price I've found so far) Tecab Set

Hmmm. Great reply, you may have just sold me on joining the Halo club full-time. Considering their Tribeca juice is my favorite out of any juice I've tried (which is probably over 100 by this point... :p) I'd be happy to send a few more bucks their way.

Also, I know we're in the minority here, but I liked reading your thoughts on the Ego Twist. I'm sure it is a great device, because I've owned both 650mah batteries and variable voltage mods, so I bet the combination is a dream. However, I would not want to whip those out on the street at a bus stop, or outside of a restaurant, etc.

Your 808 stuff, and disposables aren't VV, so you needn't compare only with a twist for an EGO option.
You could get a 1" tall Ego minibattery, or 650's, or the fat 1300 mah (I have a couple - they're about 650 height but fatter and last all day). Then figure a place to carry a couple PREFILLED CARTS, and you're all set.
Small, discrete, and interhangeable toppers...

Very cool. To be honest, I forgot that Ego-sized batteries under 650mah even existed. :D Then I looked on the Halo site, and sure enough, they make their Tritons in 400mah. So I could get those and fill up a couple blank cartos each day... or just some Ego Minis and Boge cartos. So there are a couple more ideas. That's why I'm glad I made this thread.

I was thinking the mini trog key ring battery from electronicstix with a mini vivi or other small tank. Even if you used two batteries they are so small you can pocket t easier than worrying about changing cartos and carrying three or four with you. Also 510 so in a pinch there are Blu cartos available almost everywhere ( if you had to use them).

I know you wrote thaty ou didn't like clearos, but a 450 mAh mini and an EVOD has been my everyday wrok rig for months.

YMMV

You can carry two 450s and two EVODs in an Altoids tin ;)

Man... I REALLY did not like the Kanger Protanks. I disliked them so much that I sold them. The airy draw that most people complain about was not a huge deal, but the flavor was too muted and tasted like metal even after cleaning it 10 times. Are the Evods really that much better, like everyone says? Because your setup looks awesome.

I wasn't a fan of the ProTank for the same reasons you stated, but I use the EVOD clearos in my travel kit everyday at work and they perform great. I prefer a carto tank for my home setup, but they just aren't as portable as I would like, but the EVODs are doing a great job. If you get a non VV eGo batter, just make sure you get the 1.8ohm coils for the EVOD and you might find you like the way it performs.

I say go to DV, buy an EVOD for $6 and give it a whirl......

The EVODs are my favorite clearo by far.

YMMV
