I have eGo-C's, 510-T's, an e-Roll, a bunch of Twists in different sizes, a Provari Mini, and I just ordered a Reo. None of them are landfill because in different situations, I use all of them. The only PV I never use is the auto cig I first bought. I used it for about a week before my eGo C arrived in the mail and never again.

I'm a gadgety person anyway who likes to own the newest toy, but I also like having this many options because if I'm bored with one, I can grab one of the others. It's nice to switch it up and use something that has a different weight, feel, and vape. Most of us use more than one flavor, why shouldn't we use more than one PV?

Enjoy and stop kicking yourself. You'll probably find that you still use the PV's even if you get the LT. If not, you can sell them, trade them, give them away, or lend them to friends who still smoke and help them join the vaping revolution. :)

You sound like me. One for each flavor. I use all of mine too. Even use my 510 mini when I walk the dog. I even have a 'work in the yard' pv. Some I use more than others, but I use them all.

Well, wasn't necessarily worried about a kick, except for the fact of wondering what VW does vs VV...

Its a matter of preference really. VW is more convenient. Its like having cruise control.

Variable wattage has been around for quite a while now. The Darwin is a variable wattage mod. However they are virtually impossible to get. A lot of vapers added variable wattage to their pvs by using the Kick - a small piece of circuitry that can be put on top of a battery. Having variable volts and variable watts on the same pv is a more recent development tho.

For myself, I prefer variable wattage over variable voltage because I can switch from one accessory to another and stay at the same watts. Or I can adjust watts and not worry about calculating whether the volts are ok with the ohms - the device adjusts the volts automatically to the right level.

I can also adjust watts with different juices, and again not worry about volts and ohms being mismatched since it adjusts the volts automatically. Since I have a lot of different juices this works well for me. Sometimes I just change the watts with the same juice - depending whether I want it a little cooler, or I feel like getting the warmer taste. I like some juices at more than one temperature. So I adjust the watts, which is the power, with a simple click or two and vape.

For those who use RBAs (rebuildable atomizers), variable watts also means that although the resistance of their RBA may change (which sometimes happens), the watts remain constant with a vw pv, as it automatically adjusts the voltage to maintain the same power output. I experienced this with one of my mods just last night when vaping using a Phoenix RBA. The coil on the RBA was shorting a bit so the resistance kept changing - but the pv stayed on 7.5 watts regardless of the changing resistances. Of course ideally an RBA is coiled better than that.

So that's what variable wattage does. Hope that helps.

To the original poster. Not sure what your money situation is, but if it doesn't strap you, get your dream mod.
Most of us buy several PVs until the right one comes along.
It's funny how the right one satisfies the urge to buy another one.

Also, reliability is up a jillion percent from a couple years ago. However, they all fail eventually.

Grimm did a GREAT vid on the Kick too, that's kinda what I got out of it... And the fact that he states it won't work with devices with their own "circuitry"...

Yes - the kick is for mechanical mods that don't have electrical circuits built in. The benefit of a kick is you can transfer it from one mechanical mod to another. The cons would be that it can be fiddly - especially if you want to adjust it.
With built in vw you can adjust it by simply clicking a button. But you can't transfer that to another device like the kick.
Both have their benefits.

I got my start vaping with Smokeless Image cigalikes and the X2's. I was happy for not quite a month. I saw the mods that could use larger capacity cartotanks for even more carefree vaping and batteries that last an entire day.

Got a BB and a Silver Bullet. Was satisfied with them and cartotanks for a couple of months, not really interested in variable voltage. Then I visited the Altsmoke brick & mortar store in Columbus, Ohio where the owner asked to see my Silver Bullet. I had a cartotank filled with my favorite flavor.

When he returned it, he had added a Kick and extender sleeve to my Silver Bullet. Took a few puffs on my Kona Velvet Milkshake, and I was sold right then and there on variable voltage. I was tasting the flavor as it was meant to be tasted for the first time.

Soon got a Provari for variable voltage. Again thought I was content. Now all the talk is about RBA's. Although I'm not a tinkerer and like things to work out of the box, I think I can get a handle on how to build a wick and coil. I got my first rebuildable last week.

Am I done? Who knows? :D

I'm the same way as Baditude. I must be following in his footsteps. Just did the same thing. Just bought the AGA tidmat plus with glass
tank. tried it out and now I have a Zap coming in the mail..

I got the AGA T plus with glass, too. I've been dragging my feet getting a small torch. Should be up and running by the weekend. :)

I've went off the deep end quickly, at least in my opinion. I tried and didn't stick with vaping twice last year, small batts, juice I didn't really like. This year I have went all in. Started just after the New Year with ego 650mah, got a really good deal on a lava tube 1.0 and bought that, and I am (not very patiently) waiting for my Provari mini. I also have bought carto's and tanks and viv nova's (love them both) and kanger T3's (QC issues there). Between all those and lots of juice, I still break even to what I would of spent. In fact I am saving now (I was a heavy smoker). I am still a newbie, but now this is turning into a hobby, and I am learning everything I can about RBA's, and have ordered a cheap one. I keep toying with ordering a Vamo for the VW, I have read so many things about it, so far I have talked myself out of it. As I have read over and over ( and is so true) what ever keeps you off of the smokes...

It works, and I'm satisfied... But................... "That a pretty freakin awesome lookin piece of vapeness". lmao

Then go get that awesome piece of vapeness!!! :) I am chasing a ProVari and I have closed the browser six times now without placing the order. I know I am going to actually check out at some point but I am waiting until it is right for me. You should do the same. Only you know when it is right to upgrade. Do not ever feel bad about upgrading. It is the natural progression of vaping.

So glad to see I'm not the only one with this "problem". Must have more! I really hope to stop as soon as I get a AC9 and high end mechanical mod. Still get a great vape with a ego twist and a ViVi Nova. This "collectable" aspect I never planned for. Limited Edition sell outs in 3 F&%#in minutes proves we are a wacky sub culture to be sure. Vape On!

I have surpassed "limited Editions", I am leaning more towards on of a kinds these day with my pipes. Jazz Pipes are all the same basic two models but e-pipemods says they will not repeat some of the colored acrylics or their freehand pipes. My last two pipes are pretty much one of a kind, my Top Hat pipe which I have now and the Avatar pipe which should have the conversion started next week...I am sure I won't be seeing another one like it walking around at Vape Bash or Vape Vest.

As Nick says "It's good to be able to vape like a Sir at times".

So Calif
I started on Egos and vaped them for a bit over a year before I got the first Provari. While waiting for it I bought my first Silver Bullet.

Now I have a crapload of PV's both mechanical and vv and vw. I liked carto tanks for a long time and didn't like dripping...until I got the first Empire. Now I drip more than I use a tank. I have Helixes and BAMs that are finicky when it comes to what goes on the connector so I bought some A7 RBA's cause the center post adjusts and stays adjusted and both the H's and the B's love them. So now I'm using them a bit more. I use different juices a lot so having a lot of in use PV's makes sense for me.

I have a net savings from quitting smoking even with all this. I save even more with DIY. That cost a pretty penny to get started due to needing a lot of different flavorings but it pays off with each bottle I make.

You just do whatever makes you feel good. You want that Lava pretty get it, unless it means you don't eat. Life is too short to let the stuff that will not only save your life, but make you feel good go by.

I also started on auto 65mm batts, then several months later upgraded to the X2's. They were great for battery life, but came off the charger way too hot and the drop off was dramatic. I got tired of it, they seemed to stop working well after they were only a few months old too. I upgraded to the Provari and I'm so happy that I did. I love that I can check the ohms on what I'm using with my Provari. Those vivi nova heads are rarely what's etched on them. But, just the fact that it's truly the same voltage at every hit whether the batt is fresh off the charger or ready to go back on the charger, is awesome. There's a huge learning curve to vape gear. I still remember saying I didn't even want to refill my own cartos and would only use prefilled (LOL). With the ohms, volts, watts, 510 thread, 808D thread.......the list goes on. It's a lot to absorb. It's also a lot of trial and error.
