Indigo Vapor Eureka
Nicotine: 24 mg
PG/VG: Proprietary
Age: 3 weeks
Color: Light, clear honey-colored.
devices: Evod on a Vamo V5 @ 6, 8 and 10 watts.

I recently bought eight Indigo e-liquids, which I will be reviewing here in the next week or two, starting with Eureka. Indigo calls this its "most recent foray into the world of RY Tobacco blends", and that's what attracted me to this juice -- I've grown to love RY4s with a passion.

The first thing that got my attention about Eureka was the throat hit. I could care less about vapor production (is vaping really any less enjoyable in the dark? no? then who cares about the visuals?), but TH is vital to me, and Eureka delivers in spades. At a mere 6W it provides all the TH I need; at 8W it can wake my throat up after a day of hard vaping; at 10W, it's a bit like inhaling an unfiltered Lucky Strike. This is a heavy, dense, thick tasting vape, like a lot of MBV juices and unlike Chinese juices.

Regarding the taste, Eureka has a pleasant, heavy tobacco flavor -- in whatever way e-juice can be like tobacco, at least (we all know it's a different beast from smoked tobacco, and most of us are thankful for that). This is very full-bodied and flavorful liquid, with something savory about it. It has a subtle complexity that will probably help it stand the test of time. I will note that Eureka has just the slightest hint of what is to me Indigo's Achilles heel -- a stomach-churning bread mold taste that might or might not be what some people classify as "grass" or "hay". This flavor has already caused me to throw out one Indigo juice where it was incredibly strong (more on that in another review). Fortunately, here it's almost nonexistent.

That said, this is in no way an RY-type flavor -- I detect no vanilla or caramel anywhere in Eureka. That's why it gets 1/5 for authenticity.

As far as sweetness goes, it's really just right -- just slightly sweet, which becomes this particular liquid.

In short, this is an understated non-RY4 workhorse tobacco flavor with killer TH. My palate gets a bit bored of it after a couple hours, but it's happy enough to come back to it after a time with something more intensely flavored.

Flavor: 4/5
Authenticity: 1/5
TH: 5/5
Buy again? Yes

I tried Eureka about 1 year ago ... along with the Duke, Eastwood, Oorah, Captain Ron, Indigo RY and Indigo Classic ... at the time, I liked Eureka better than any of their other juices ... as a synthetic tobacco with a mildly sweet bakery type background, Eureka was pretty good for what it was, iirc ... it's been too long to give a review, but from my recollection I can give a thumbs up for Eureka as a well blended, sweet, mild tobacco, adv ... if the recipe is the same ?

I don't remember them calling it an RY4, and it didn't taste like an RY4 when I tried it, maybe they changed the recipe ?

Indigo Classic was a very good RY4, a bit sweeter than Indigo RY, iirc ... altho I haven't vaped any Indigo for quite a while, I do like their juices
