has anyone tried any of their menthols? Im also really interested in trying the Eureka. As long as its more on the caramely vanilla side as opposed to the nutty tasting tobaccos. I the nutty flavors I can do without. One tobacco I have had that didnt taste like either and was more earthy was HHV's Huntsman. Something along those lines would be good too. Guess I'll have to sample a few more flavors but for now the Captain Oohrah and Indigo RY are in my top rotation.

Huntsman is special, rich, full and colorful. Both Legend and Huntsman are earthy, autumnal flavors -- but Huntsman has more woodland magic.

The closest I've had is their Kick Back, although I didn't consider it menthol-y. Just a very slight coolness on the exhale, like a sort of minty RY.

While we're at it, Vapor Rater does some detailed reviews and a 4 point "star system". He's rated hundreds of juices from MBV to GVC. Indigo is one of the few that he has given several all-5-star reviews to.

Oorah:

Despite having several of Indigo's tobaccos maturing in my steeping drawer, it's been a little while since I've been able to find the time to get to any of them. A new vendor that had promised to have their juice over to me fell behind and a spot opened up in the review schedule, providing me an opportunity to delve into the one that got away...the juice I've heard so many rave reviews for, the juice that I'm embarrassed it's taken me this long to get to, Oorah.

Despite being vastly different beasts, the two tobacco e-liquids that I've tasted (and reviewed) from Indigo already have a singular common thread, an uncanny resemblance to the genuine article, and Oorah is no different. It opens with an aromatic, mellow, sophisticated tobacco, with soft, smooth undertones and a toasted, almost nutty, earthy quality. It has a sweet, honeyed note to it that slowly fades into a very light hint of the graham cracker flavor to come. The top of the exhale is where the juice gains even greater body, with a deeper, heavier, more potent tobacco blend that immediately gives the profile body, depth, and a little backbone to boot. The more rugged tobacco tone continues towards the tail end of the exhale, until mere moments from the time that the last of the cloud escapes...which is where the profile takes it's final twist and things get a bit sweeter again as the graham cracker fully enters the profile, in all it's sweet, honeyed, almost bread-like glory. The graham flavor persists into the finish, leaving behind a shadow of sweetness that continues to develop and change for what seems like an eternity. This is not the blatant, obvious graham cracker flavor present in a bottle of Boba's or similarly styled e-liquids, it's lighter, more ethereal, divine. The particular note is difficult to describe, but wholly natural, a perfect replica, akin to the flavor left in your mouth 30 seconds after you've polished off a graham cracker. It's almost the suggestion of graham...like tasting the idea of the cookie-like cracker without having actually eaten one. The honey sweetened, toasted wheat notes are there, intensely for a fraction of a second before they begin dissipating on the tongue.

While I try to steer clear of opinions in these reviews, this juice, Oorah, is in my own opinion, Indigo's crowning achievement. It's as if they want to tease you with each flavor as it comes and goes from the profile. The juice evokes an emotional response, a need for "just one more vape", a need to taste each broad stroke, and every subtle detail again and again. It's tobacco perfection, plain and simple.

Like some of the other flavors I've reviewed from Indigo, in order to get the most out of this juice, you need to put some heat up against it. Sure, it's a tasty vape at 8-9 watts, there's no question, but it comes off as more of a straight tobacco blend...a damn good one, but the wide array of subtle nuances aren't as pronounced as they are with some additional wattage. On the Provari topped with a 2.5Ω atomizer, I spent most of my time with it at 5.2-5.3v yielding 10.8-11.2 watts, which brings all of the flavors to their individual peaks, produces an immense, but not uncomfortable throat hit, and voluminous clouds of thick, dense vapor. With my mech/RBA rig, I wanted to see just how far I could push this one. I used a Nemesis topped with a Nimbus, modded with dual 1/16" air intake, and made a dual twisted 28ga kanthal coil at .45Ω, wrapped on XC-116. The result was heavenly. Every flavor is amplified in perfect symmetry. The graham cracker remains a soft highlight to the pair of complimentary tobaccos with throat hit and vapor production going straight off the charts. Juice like this is rare, and vendors like Indigo, who earn not just one, but three perfect scores in the tobacco category (that's every tobacco I've reviewed from them so far) are unique. I don't say this often here, but for tobacco lovers, this is an absolute must try, and for those who enjoy a high quality tobacco vape every now and again, don't be surprised if you find Oorah your ADV.

Score: 20/20

Blue Ice:

After a couple of stellar performances from Indigo Vapor, including one perfect score, I was eager to crack open my next elegantly packaged bottle from the new vendor, Blue Ice. Described by Indigo as a blend of blueberries and honey, this juice is flush with a bright, plump blueberry flavor that is remarkably natural, coming closer to the real thing than any I've previously reviewed. The sweet berry is nicely complimented by a very light touch of a candy-like tart blue raspberry, which lends the juice a pleasant bite of acidity and a better sense of balance. Rounding out the profile is a remarkably smooth, natural honey flavor that is reminiscent of the skinny straws of thinned out, liquid honey candy. Similar to Indigo's Kaleidoscope Ice juice, the fruit and honey flavors are rich and full at almost any wattage along the normal vaping spectrum, but the cooling factor doesn't really pop until you put a fair amount of heat to it, and even then, it's more of a mild chill rather than a central player in the profile. I found the sweet spot to be just short of 11 watts, or 5.7v on a 3Ω atomizer, which produces crisp, clean, cool, fruity flavors, a very powerful throat hit, and enormous plumes of thick, rich vapor.

The Duke:

This is far from the first review I've written for Indigo's line of gourmet e-liquid, but with the exception of their Captain Ron, the others have all been for sweet, mostly fruity flavors. The Duke is Indigo's take on the classic straight tobacco e-juice and while they have generated quite a bit of buzz around some of their other flavors, particularly the Blue Ice and Captain Ron, The Duke has simply not spawned the same amount of chatter in the various vaping forums, but if you're looking for a big, rich, true tobacco e-liquid, look no further. While the latest trend in tobacco flavors has been leaning heavily towards the sweeter side, with many vendors putting an emphasis on additional components like caramel and vanilla, Indigo is bucking the trend, and going old school with a ridiculously smooth, bold, straightforward tobacco, that shifts the focus back to the leaf and lets the flavor carry the juice from start to finish. The flavor is remarkably true, invoking memories of the way a fresh pack of analogs smelled right as the foil is torn, or the way a fresh cigar smells of pure unadulterated tobacco. Helping to round out the flavor profile is a subtle, deep nuttiness that adds a sense of fullness and body while rounding out the earthy spice and acidity that the tobacco flavor imparts. All said, this is one of the purest, straight tobacco flavors I've had to date, and it's positively loaded with big, robust flavor. Like most tobacco based e-liquid, the sweet spot is quite wide making the juice a great option for those with or without variable voltage devices. I preferred it at an even 10 watts or 5v on a 2.5Ω atomizer which produced a tremendous throat hit, with enormous clouds of big, bold vapor.

Yeah, great reviews Alisa.

I have been eying Indigo for a few months now and am finally going to order from them. I have to get the Really Big RY4 Roundup A rated juice, Indigo Classic for sure. I do however want to try two or three of these other tobaccos that they offer.

Like Jef I am a big fan of the HHV juices, Dragon's Fire and Huntsman in particular, Army and Serendipity not so much with Legend somewhere in the middle. I am also a big fan of Smooth Criminal from Ahlusions but I am an RY4 vapor at heart. It seems that Eastwood is going to be right up my ally, and the review Jef posted on Sunset makes that one interesting as well (although my foray into peach tobaccos has so far been unsuccessful). I am not a big pipe tobacco fan but I also don't rule them out, but Indigo is not cheap so I want to get things I know I'll like now and take chances with trials in subsequent shipments.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Speaking of HHV has anyone ordered from them lately? I wasnt ever to fond of the 4-5 days it took before they shipped your order. They actually have a B&M store now right? Are they any faster with getting orders out? Lat time I ordered from them it was well before they had their store. Indigo is great with shipping. The day after I ordered it was shipped and here in 2 days now that's fast!

They are much faster on processing time now since they opened up the B&M and hired additional help. The last time I ordered was over the New Year's weekend, and it still shipped out faster than the first time I ordered from them last year ;) Their website is also much faster, and non-holiday processing time is much, much faster. Some have reported 24 hours or less occassionally.

HHV is also preparing to release new NETs soon!

@ Lombaowski: they do have an all-inclusive tobacco sampler of 4ml bottles available if you're feeling adventurous. My shortlist would consist of Classic, RY, OORAH, and, now, Uncle Cutty. But I have developed a sweeter tobacco tooth ;)

I need to try out HHV's line...it's nice to be able to compare, and so many people rave about them. That being said, on my last order I wanted to try one that had the fewest reviews--I like taking the less-beaten path.

So I got Indigo Express, and while I"ve never had another 555 to compare with, it's turning into one of my favorites. It's very much like the RY but less sweet. No grassy tones like in The Duke.

After two orders, I decided that I liked Indigo enough to trust that I would like pretty much anything, so I tried what at the time was a new flavor--The Turk.

Here's my review (not highbrow at all or very detailed, but it was my first impression). I never write reviews on juices--so to have done 2 with Indigo surprised me.

Heavenly! July 23, 2013

So I ordered 15mL of this without sampling, I have so much confidence in Indigo. I was not disappointed!

Straight out of the mailbox...this stuff is amazing! So different in flavor from the other Turkish tobaccos I've tried to date; this is dark, rich, FULL.

I get hints of cinnamon, and what is that, molasses? A bit of graham in there too...this is so rich it vapes like a dessert.

Another winner...I'm a fangirl for life!

This was my only other review, on Dawn to Dusk:

I finally found my ADV! July 23, 2013

I got this as a sample with my first Indigo order, and I had to buy some on my next purchase. I don't like cherry, but this juice is just sublime!

Just like others have mentioned, this is the perfect morning vape with a rich cuppa joe.

In fact, I'm drinking a bit more coffee than usual, just so I can enjoy this juice more often.

Easily my all day vape, it never gets old. The flavor stays true throughout the day.

Indigo, you are AMAZING!

You should write up a review thread in the General Eliquid Review sub-forum. Take it one juice at a time and keep their name in the spotlight.

Every few months there are a slew of new vapers, and they might not have heard of Indigo.

Oh, and keep talking here ;)

Sorry, I meant to reply to this.

I could do that, but many others do much better. It would take a good deal of concentration and time (believe me it would likely be as good as the Vapor Rater--I am a good descriptive writer). But I fear that the hobby has already taken too much of my not-enough-of-it free time and I know that my SO would not be a happy camper with me devoting so much time to it.

The idea is enticing but I don't have the ability to concentrate enough mental energy on it. :)

So...The Duke is straight up Tobacco with no caramel or vanilla? If so, i'ma hafta try it. My buds don't like vanilla/caramel anymore and are absolutely craving tobacco.

It's pretty "in your face"...I normally don't like that grassy/hay flavor you can sometimes get, and I'll be honest at first I wasn't liking it. Now that I've had it a couple of months, the flavors have all blended and while the grassy note is still there, it just feels "right" to be there.

It's to me a pretty aggressive tobacco, but not one that I dislike.

One thing that I've noticed about all the tobaccos is that they're "dry". Which I like. I was immediately struck with how "smoky" the texture of the vape was, and I think that's what impressed me the most about the juice when I first tried it. It's not a smoky flavor--but something about the texture of it is really reminiscent of smoke to me.

I'm all for "in your face". I don't think anything can be more in "in your face" than Grumpy's Hooch. When i first tried that i was like, NO WAY. Revisited it about three months later and it had mellowed quite a bit. However, it got sweet on me. I'm looking for a tobacco that is NOT sweet. Hay, grass....anything. Just NOT sweet.

You will like the duke then....I mean it has a tad of sweet but definitely great tasting tobacco base, all indigo baccos have that signature tobacco base.Eastwood is duke with ry and is a pretty dang good juice too!Indigo classic is another one that is spot on for a RY4 not as sweet as others out there but just right IMO.
