Since I can't smell very well, I can't tell if there is any smell after a vaping session. Although I seem to get a whif of something like hot electronics on occasion if I leave the room and go outside then come back in. Anyone notice anything.

I Vape 100 VG unflavored... Really no smell to it, but in the past when I have had flavors it did leave an order of what ever the flavor was...

It was a game for me and the wife for a while for her to guess, from across our living room, what I was vaping. She got pretty good there after a while, but I suspect she was going into my man cave during the day and studying the juices I had.

Funny thing is that we have one of those HEPA air filtration units sitting on the floor in between our chairs. *shrug*
She sure a heck could smell it, but with the sweet tooth I've been having lately, at least it's a good smell! :vapor:

Depends on the flavor. The somewhat pungent FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship tobacco I vaped for a while definitely made my office and the area outside it smell funky and people noticed. I switched to vaping a milder cocoa tobacco and a vanilla and they leave no distinguishable aroma.

And some others vaping flavors like French Toast or Waffles have reported people some looking for who's got waffles or cookies.

My DIY butterscotch actually caused me some trouble with the smell. I was working a film shoot and i was running the production office (which was in a hotel room) while everyone was on location. A couple people started to complain that the room smelled when they returned and asked me not to use it in the room.

So I started going to the stairwell to vape and they claimed they could still smell it a week later. Personally, I think they were full of it as my sense of smell is pretty acute and they are almost all smokers. All i could smell in the room was cleaning products. My bf uses the butterscotch at home and I smell it while he's vaping and it's very distinct, but when he's not using his PV I don't smell it.

The worst part is at the end of the day, they all came back reeking of stale cigarettes and then complained about the "sweet smell" in the room.

Needless to say, I ended up switching to unflavored for the rest of the shoot (still didn't vape in the room) and any other work environments I'm in.

Some particularly strong or pungent odors can be detected, but even those smells don't linger very long. If someone objects to your vaping because of the smell, they are either hypersensitive or you're vaping something horrible too much and too close to them (move away), or they're lying. Nine times out of ten, the latter is the case and what they really object to is someone with smoky looking stuff coming out of their mouth.

I would love to do an experiment with unflavored juice and virulent anti-smoking nazis. I'd put odds down that a significant percentage of them would claim they smelled an unpleasant odor. The placebo effect is very powerful stuff.

Next time someone complains about the smell, lie to them. Tell them you're vaping something totally different than what you are. As you're vaping chocolate, say "sorry, is that watermelon smell noticeable?" My bet is that they'll suddenly start smelling watermelon.

If there is a buildup on the atomizer coil there can sometimes be a "burnt" odor.

I have one RY4 that is heavy VG and leaves a cloud like a "tire fire" and stays visible longer than smoke would. It is now my "outdoor" vape!

Even unflavored will leave a slight sweet scent.

Its funny that the people who tend to complain the most are analog smokers...makes me wonder how it bothers them because when I still smoked my sense of smell was pretty shot.I know that since i've switched it's improved 10fold! My roommate loves the smell and likes to try and guess what i'm vaping every time i get a new flavor.
