Hey, I'm a few months into the vaping thing, but I have a issue with vaping outdoors.

I've got a e-liquid I like, a brand new Riva and indoors it's fantastic. However, once I step outside, things immediately go south. The vape instantly tastes metallic and I can't taste any of the goodness it had indoors.

I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience? Would a 5V device "fix" this?

Thanks in advance!

I seemed to have lost flavor all together. I live in So Cal and am in Vegas for the weekend and since i got here theres really no flavor anymore and it sucks :mad:. I dont know if it had anything to do with the fact i left my juice in the trunk on the way up and it got too warm or if its just the dry air. I get home later today and i'll see if the flavor returns and if not i'm going to either assume the juice got too hot or have to look in to more about this subject in another thread or start a new one cause this sucks.

A 5v device might fix your problem, but if there's any metallic taste to it, the 5v might just amplify that taste. I would experiment with different liquids for my outside use. I think everyone should have a 5v device though. The usb passthrough's are great for sitting next to the computer or your lazyboy, and I paid less than 10.00 for mine.

I'm not 100% set on my description of the outdoor "issue". Not really metallic in taste, it's just really hard to describe. I think i'll give a 5V mod a shot.

Any recommendations?

Thanks for the responses!!!

I have noticed one major thing...My flavors can head south on regular basis. A LR picks it right up, but im talking standard 510 or 901 here. But one thing gets flavors back quickly, and its excercise. The breathing heavily through your mouth for a minute gets the flavor back. Ive also noticed that drinking certain liquids will deter the flavor. In the morning its the same, great flavor for a few. So, why and how is this corellation to dry mouth and awesome flavor, who knows, but its there. Now if I could come up with perfect drink to accompany my pv, id be set. The name "vaporade" seems to come to mind:p
