Hi all,

Here has been experience with my Indulgence switch;

DeXTeR (I also sent this to Di over at EastMall),

I purchased my Indulgence from a state-side vendor, vaporjunction.com, back in Nov '10. Recently my manual switch failed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it state here that it will tolerate over one million presses. So I did some calculations on how many times I'd have to press the button in 4 months (120 days Nov 9 2010 to March 9 2011) to equal 1 million. Here's what I came up with;

8,333.33 presses per day, since I sleep 8hrs a day, that would be
521 presses per hour in a 16 hour day
8.7 presses per minute
That would be one press every 6.7 seconds

LOL! There is NO way! I'd be bouncing off the walls if I consumed that much juice!

I'm a moderate vaper, so I came to the following break-down;

Average presses per minute = 2 (x60min),
Average presses per hour = 120 (x16hrs),
Average presses per day = 1,920
Stated longevity of manual switch = 1,000,000 (/1,920),
Project days manual switch should last me = 521 days or 1year and 43 days

Di and DeXTeR, I know by searching this forum, that I'm not the only one that has had problems with the Indulgence's manual switch. And I agree with what you've stated here concerning the ratio between the people that have gotten a bad switch, to those that have not. For that I applaud you and your engineering department. My only wish, is that your manual switch had a better warranty/replacement policy.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I only wanted to express my concerns for what I consider to be the best PV, and what I think could make it the ultimate PV.

Sincerely,

sanjosse

Noted.

I will send an email over to David at EastMall and see if he is willing to extend the warranty on the Indulgence. If they are willing to extend the warranty, that would allow us to as well.

Thank you for your concerns.

DeXTeR,

Did you ever hear back from David?

sanjosse,

I sure haven't so I'm not sure to take that as a no they won't extend the warranty or if it's we're talking it over and will let you know.

Thanks

I still haven't heard a definitive answer. :confused:

OK, well my thoughts on this are -------
the switch is warranted for 30 days
NOT for 1 million clicks,
that is the technical answer,

having said that

I dont know how long you have had the switch,
if it has worked for the warranted time =30 days,
then a replacement cost of - $20.00 = + $17.00 shipping
works out to $ 1.23 a day of the warranted period,

if you still are within the warranty period,
then you should ask for a replacement switch
you can do this from Chris, -- * EMROCKS * on this forum

he is the USA returns officer for Eastmall,
please contact him for more information.

Zod,

I took your advice, and guess what? It's now working fine again! After removing the lower contact disk, I noticed that the assembly was askew by 15°. It took a whole 5 minutes to fix. Finally!

If there's one thing I've learned about this forum, sooner or later, you'll find the answers you're looking for.

Thank You Zod!
