I've only been vaping for a few days, and already I'm getting lots of questions from friends and strangers about em. There is no vape store worth its salt in the local area, though, and people who have asked me about them get a bit glazed in the eye when I start talking about websites to order from. I think we can all understand the instant gratification that most smokers need :)

Reading through a post here, I was inspired by keyzygirl's generosity. If I were to grab a half-dozen fairly inexpensive starter to hand out to inquisitive close friends or pass along at-cost, what would some of you guys recommend? I'm thinking maybe $10-$15 range, but I'd rather spend a little more than give someone a piece of junk. It seems that my best option may just be one of those disconnectable passthroughs with a couple prefilled cartomizers.

Best Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com currently has a one cig kit for $2.95 (menthol only)

and
VaporNine has these for $7.95 which I found to be an excellent deal. It comes with one rechargeable shorty 808 bat, a cordless USB charger, and two pre-filled 808 cartos. I bought two in the menthol and was very impressed with the flavor and the kit overall. I think it's a STEAL for handouts:
Electronic Cigarette Kits

I PMd ya.

While i dont have any suggestion i have 2cents worth on the Blue. It was the first thing i tired and while i did not like, it i will admit i saw how different/similar it can be to a analog. I am xxxxxx WAS a menthol smoker and when i tried the Blu i tasted more like chocolate than menthol. Also the nic hit was just not there at all no throat either for that matter.

But it would give them a taste on how they feel and work. I would suggest just buying a better system and loan it out or have your friends over for a vape party lol.

I use a 510 box mod (usually) with a LR carto (almost always) and a drip tip in place of the rubber-stopper mouthpiece. I just carry some clean extra drip tips with me, in case someone wants to give it a pull ;)

Madvapes has a semi-disposable kit with an auto battery, USB charger, and 5 prefilled cartos for 10 bucks. Looks like a KR808 style thing. Haven't tried these myself, but I've spent lot$$$ with Madvapes, and none of it's been junk.

Here's another one, also offered by MadVapes:

510-DISPOSABLE-E-CIG-KIT-with-Blue-LED

They're ten bucks, less if you buy more. They come with several preloaded cartridges, an acceptable atomizer, and a rudimentary charger. Most of the ones I got I gave away. I did open one kit. The "tobacco" flavor was okay, something on the order of a Winston, and the battery lasted for 18 charges until I did it in with an overloaded cart (snicker). The USB charger does NOT have a light on it, but it's a very low-current device, and I left the battery on it overnight once with no damage done.

By the time you figure out that carts suck and the battery has called it a life, you're left with the charger, the refillable carts, and a decent atomizer -- all 510 and thus reusable in other configurations. I'm still using the atty for tasting new flavors. It seems to be around 3 ohms. The atty, bought alone, would be about five bucks.

Pretty decent for a ten buck starter rig!

patxxoo, that $3.95 special from MyFreedomSmokes looks like a real steal! Thanks for the link. I ordered a whole bunch of them.

At that price, I can hand them out to relative strangers and not feel a pang! I'll save the MadVapes ten-buck starters for people I know better.

The one from Apollo is a good one although it is more expensive. They were given out on the forum here last year for free and I ordered one. You just paid shipping. I swear, as soon as I tried it I knew I'd like vaping. Everyone that tried it liked it and that thing lasted forever.

BTW, Majic Vapor has a buy one get one that ends at the end of this month. You can get a real Joye 510 for $38. And you get two kits. So each kit is $19.00.

Majic Vapor Electronic Cigarettes - Majic Vapor Electronic Cigarettes

I had to check them out myself and with the deal I was able to go ahead and order my ego and one for my hubby, with a deal like that I couldn't wait. At this point I think the postperson thinks i'm a stalker ....

I'm also going to order a few of the $3.95 specials for a few people at work to try out.

I try to stay away from the cheap disposables when I give perspective new vapers a kit. I didn't like them, so I don't want that to be the noobs first experience.

Watch the deals and steals thread for sales on 510 manuals. In the meantime, I carry a spare unused drip tip with me so they can try mine.
