I am currently doing a trade with another member, and should be receiving the infinity classic, and I had a couple questions I was hoping you could help me with. Is there a on/off feature? Whats the range of the voltage? Is there a amp cutoff? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Also what this about the Infinity and LR cartos/atties?

No on-off, though I've gotten a new IP end cap to work by lightly sanding the plastic threads on it. I just wanted to see if it could be done, the IP cap is just slightly larger diameter than the original.

The original infinity would go above its amp limit with anything much below 2.5 ohms. 3ohms would go the full voltage scale. I forget what the actual amp limit was.

So could I use LR's at a lower voltage, such as 3.7-4.2?

Depends what you consider LR Anything below 2.5ohm I had issue with after a day or two. The resistance would drop with use and it would start shutting off. 2.5 and above work perfect.

3ohm hits like a champ at any voltage.

I agree, but I have roughly 7 LR atties and 15 LR cartos, enough for several months. I hope I don't need to buy a new arsenal of atties and cartos just for one device. LR meaning 1.5-2.0 ohms.

And according to my calculations a 1.5 ohm atty at 4.2v only pulls 2.8 amps. Whats the amp cutoff? 3amps? 2.5amps?

Ill have to let mike field that one. Was almost a year ago and 6 PVs since I bought my infinity. Ill pull it out and run a few tests after dinner if Mike hasnt responded before then

You could try a trade in the classies for the atties and cartos

2 amps is a pretty extreme cutoff lol. I don't what I'll yet. I have like 4 3.7v devices to 1vv, so it wouldnt make sense to get rid of all of that for higher voltage things.

I think it is 2 amps on the OI ? anything above 2.5 ohms works fine , trade the cartos or ???

Pretty sure it's 2, you can ecf google infinity 2 amps, talked about in may.

I don't know just how many he's got, but Buzz posted earlier that he's got some blemished ones available on discount (just minor scratch type dings, nothing major). If you're looking to get one, might be worth your while to look into that
