Some background on me, I smoked about 10 or so yrs before finding ecigs and the VK. So I was in the hospital for a while in Dec and got to talk to some doctors. They did all kinds of tests and things on the chest and lungs while I was in there. I got to talk to 3 different lung specialists including my eventual surgeon about ecigs. Been vaping about 3-4 months and all the doctors said my lungs looked great besides for being sick. They all have heard about ecigs and think highly of them. They categorized me as a non-smoker even though I vape. I know this is by no means a medical endorsement or official study, so its not going to make a difference legally, but i think its great that word is spreading in the medical field about vaping. It means our entire vaping community is getting the word out more and more. Doctors are becoming more aware of vaping and supporting it instead of replacement drugs and other inefficient methods of becoming a non-smoker. Sorry for the wall of text but I thought it might be as interesting for people to hear as I thought it was.

I think I'll print out your post and carry it with me. Everyone has been intrigued with my e-cig, but when they hear that there is nicotine being delivered they think it is still as unhealthy as a cigarette.

It is a misconception that analogs are unhealthy primarily because of nicotine. When I say that nicotine is not really that unhealthy to have, they don't believe me.

A friend told me yesterday that she's been told my two smoking friends that e-cigs "don't work", don't come close to the same feeling as smoking a "real" cigarette. I've always said e-cigs are not meant to be a quit smoking device.......just so happens I've quit smoking analogs, which I say is a miracle!

Thanks for this post, I am always very interested to read what the doctors are saying about the ecigs and any other information regarding how they affect a person's health.
