Okay, so I'm starting out with a Volt kit from smokelessimage.com and loving it so far. It's completely replaced my need for analogs, the remainder of which I've relegated to my bug-out bag in the event of an emergency.

But now I'm looking around around and reading through this site and.....holy crap, there's a ton of various vapor devices out there!

While the Volt is great so far, I'm thinking of switching up to one of those mysterious "mod" kits or something with a battery that can last all day long. The Monkeyboxx looks great but I'm finding the ordering process for one of those to be quite confusing since I cannot seem to find a website that sells it.

Is there a "Monkeyboxx for Dummies" thread or website anywhere out there?
I'm new to all this atomizer stuff since I started with cartomizers.

You don't have to use atomizers. You can get a 510 threaded mod box and use blank Boge cartos or other blank 510 threaded cartos. You can put an adapter on a mod (like 510 to 808 on a 510 threaded mod) and use your Volt cartos on it. I only use atomizers with a drip tip (on manual batteries only) to test juices to see if the juice deserves a carto and to vape ones that are thicker than I will put in cartos. I find my cartos work well longer with 20% or less VG thin juices, mainly clear light juices that leave little or no flavoring sediment. But I love a couple of 50/50 juices and I drip those at home to vape them (FreedomSmokeUSA Hopscotch and Voodoo). The rest of the time I use cartos I fill myself.

Re variable voltage, I think people usually use standard resistance or high resistance atomizers or cartos on those, not LR. I've heard the Vapor4Life KR808D-1 (same threading as volt) cartos do well on variable voltage.

If I was using a metal stuffing type carto on vv I would use a plastic or delrin dip tip as a mouthpiece on the carto to avoid burning my lips on the hot carto. I use a drip tip as a mouthpiece already with them on KR808D-1 since the Vapor4Life WOW cartos can be hot when new.

    in a cave, eh?
Yeah, the Volt has 808 threads. If you go the mod route, most of them have 510 threads. I would recommend the 510 threads (more options for accessories) if you're given the choice. You can get a 510 -> 808 adapter if you want to put Volt cartos on your mod. FYI, 808s and 901s have the same thread type if you're a little confused about your adapter options. :)
