It's not really a PITA. It's just a heavy mod. I don't like that because I have nerve damage in both of my hands. As for button pushing, you get used to it but eventually (and this in just my opinion) that button is going to crapout sooner than the BuzzPro's dial will. Plus, some reports are starting to appear on the forums of problems with the LCD screen and error codes. I haven't had any problems yet but they aren't used like my Buzz's are (hubby doesn't chainvape like I do). Mike (Buzzkill) at notcigs stands behind his products 110%. I have a Buzz that is out of warranty and the PCB fried on it. Mike replaced it with only the cost of postage. He wants to keep his customers happy.

Good to know. Thanks.

Weight/size of a mod isn't really much of a concern to me. I already carry my SB (which isn't light) in my pocket all the time and am used to it.

Didn't think I'd like a box mod either but ended up using them more than my Prodigy. Now I've got the "Little Man" evercool by JamesW here on the forum. A very nice piece of equipment IMHO.

I've got an MV box mod and while I like it, I prefer my SB overall. The box mod is currently out of commission though due to me over tightening a carto while drunk and breaking a connection. I've just been too lazy to fix it. The only advantage that the box mod has IMO is that it does't weigh much.

If you want to give tanks a try you might look at the acorn tanks they have a thread here on the forum it's the first tank I've purchased and at ten bucks it's an inexpensive one to try. I'm on my second carto on the one i bought and no leaking issues yet. I'm running it on my chuck with the madvapes 4.8v batts and it's working well for me. Actually I think "Acorn is the name for their ce2 tanks I'm talking about the ones that use prepunched cartomisers. The ce2's just are too "airy"? is that a word? I like TH and didn't get it from the ce2 tanks but I love the carto tanks.

You should see all the junk I have to pack at work! The box fits in the chest pocket of my bibs nicely. It's very easy to adjust the voltage too which was a must have for me. To each his (or her) own! 'Course if the Prodigy hadn't been ripped off I'd still be packin' it. I'm still PO'd about that!

Thank you Hairball You have been very helpful, going to order my BuzzPro now. Your atty experiences and the best place to get them?

For my Buzz's, I only use cartomizers with a tank. As for a good atomizer...hmmm...there's only one I like and that's the dual coil atomizer from cloudsofvapor. I hated atomizers until these were released. I've been using one on my BuzzPro without issues so far.

I didn't like the MV box mod. I could hot box the crap out of it so I sold it off. If you get ahold of JamesW at Krimson Kustoms, he makes his with the evercool chips. Awesome boxs...I have one with one on the way.

I just got a tank yesterday and I don't know if I like it. It has leaking issues and that could be bad if it leaked onto your quilts. I think there are too many variables and too much stuff to mess with, so if you don't like it, you could try some cartomizers if you've already ordered the Buzz. But let me know, you might have better luck than me with it. The thing is, there are so many different cartomizers out there and it may be hard to figure out which one you like.

I was thinking about getting a Reo mod like the previous poster mentioned because it holds a juice bottle inside it and you don't have to mess with dripping or filling for a long while and you just use atomizers on it, which I think have the best hit and flavor:

reosmods.com

I was thinking the reo mini and just slap a LR atty on it because it's only 3.7v. I love 5V, but I don't know what kind of battery to use to get 5V on a reo Grand.

I think it is the connection on the Chuck that is the issue. You could definitely send it in for repair if you want. I've tried it at 6V and I haven't had any luck with 6v vaping. Just totally fried my atty and tasted like crap.

It's tough because everyone has an individual set up that they like and it is all about trial and error for sure!

Love ya!

My Trustfire protected 14500 batts and charger came in yesterday and I charged them up last night. The Madvapes vv mod should be arriving today, so I should be experimenting with the Little Dwarf 3 ohm dripper atty tonight. I understand it's good at 4.5v to 5v. This will be my first venture into HV variable vaping.

MV VV box mod is priced nice but they get hot from what I hear. An evercool design doesn't get hot or waste excess battery charge producing that heat. My MV boxes are straight 5 volt and are now back ups for my Little Man.

Yes, that is what I'm hearing about linear regulators. In the lower voltage range, they have to use the battery voltage, deliver the dialed in voltage and the rest gets dumped as heat loss. A pulse width modulated regulator could do that without loss. According to what I hear, near and above the 5 volt range, the battery life is good. Lower than 4 volts, two 14500s are dead on two hours. We'll see.

I ordered the vv mod Monday and it was accepted at origin in Charlotte on Tuesday. As of today, it's still sitting at the USPS sorting facility. It should have been here. Maybe the updates are slow with the holiday backlog.

I have one of those madvapes VV box mods. They aren't that bad but, you might have trouble with the protection circuits on protected bats. If you find it cuts out till you turn it off and back on, you'll need to get some AW IMRs. It happened to me. I have a buzz pro too. :)

Good info. I would have thought it was the mod. Thanks for the tip.
