After reading this thread and seeing reference to the direct inhale in other threads, I couldn't even imagine attempting it with most of the juices that I have since just doing the inhale-to-mouth-then-to-lungs generally gives me a decent TH. However doing a direct inhale was like a gagging choking fire in my throat.

However I have a pile of VB juices from my first order from them last month that actually were 80/20 VG/PG (basically mostly VG), so I tried it with one that I have been vaping alot the past week or so (Pina Colada, 18 mg) and I successfully did it with no ill effects! :D And it's true that there is a mass of vapor on exhale doing it this way (of course VG also produces more vapor in general).

I did find for me that the TH AND the flavor actually come on the exhale (both through mouth and nose) and it's pretty cool. Just had a big bottle of Pina Colada from them in 80% VG get delivered today so that (and any high VG juice) would probably be it for me doing it this way.

I have some Cignot 100% VG RY4 (that I use to mix with some 100% PG RY4 to get different PG/VG %s) and I may try that too just to see....

I just stuck my pv in my nose. Just an FYI...it burns. Lots of vapor tho...and a little buzz to boot. ouch....just did it again. Don't try this.

Awesome.

I mix it up between mouth vacuum pull to enjoy flavor followed by a french inhale, or a direct lung pull to lessen the flavor and get more of a "smoking" experience.

I could never direct inhale and still can't do it...lol. For me I seem to get a better chest hit if I hold it in my mouth for a second or two longer than most. I may sound strange, but when I hold it for a little longer it feels like the vape is cooling off and there is a short window where it actually feels denser when I inhale. If hold it for a second too long it loses that dense feeling. (like a sweet spot for timing the inhale for the right density) Jesus...am I over thinking this?

Direct inhale? You mean like smoking? I tried that on vaping. Great hit but less vapor on my 510 atties.

Ok tried it like this all day, yea you can get more vapor, but not at first. Strong hits but less flavor. I will be mixing now :)

THAT'S the spirit! Sometimes even the craziest-sounding stuff pays big dividends if you're willing to give it an honest try, and explore beyond your comfort zone!

Then again, sometimes it's just crazy-talk. :D

Ok, so after reading this thread I decided to give it a shot. I could never pull off a direct inhale with an analog for some reason, but found it easy to do using my pv with a drip tip. Holy #!#%ing %@#%!!! What a sensation...I could feel the vape filling my chest as I took it in and the vapor almost looked like a special effect. Also, the flavor kicked up to a new level entirely. My guess is because I have more of it passing the taste buds on the way down and the way out.

Ok, so there is a downside... The throat hit was waaay to harsh for me to direct inhale using 24mg or even 18mg. I'm going to pick up some lower mg nic to reduce the throat irritation. I'm positive the throat irritation is because of longer exposure to nic because of the steady stream of vape on both the inhale and exhale. If you've ever used on of those Commit Lozenges, you'll notice the feeling of irritation in the mouth is the same as vape irritation in the throat and, for me, I'm sure it's the prolonged nic exposure that I would never get with a non direct inhale. After experimenting with inhaling and nic levels, here's what works for me...

24mg--Non Direct Inhale: Great quick hit with not a lot of throat irritation. Good for a quick nic and chest hit in the am and periodically throughout the day.
18mg--Non Direct Inhale: Good quick hit with no throat irritation. Good for all day vaping (with non direct inhale)
<18mg--Direct Inhale: Could be fantastic for that slow filling chest hit while limiting the throat irritation. Great for an incredible chest hit.

Didn't mean to thread jack, but after trying the direct inhale recommendation, I honestly think my vaping will go to a whole new level!!!

Thanks for the recommendation!

I do both on my PV, but i never direct inhaled cigs. I guess i learned to direct inhale by smoking another substance. Though the mouth inhale works well with that too. Just not cigs... i could never direct inhale a cigarette. Maybe thats why i never developed a cough even after 13 years of 1 1/2 PAD.

The best way to do it, as someone previously mentioned, is basically "breathing in through your PV". If you feel like your missing flavor, move your tongue to taste the vapor as it passes your lips.

Well for those who don't like the TH try a combination of both but less on the direct inhale and more on the mouth. Whatever amount of direct inhale u add, no matter how small, will add to what ever else you inhale the regular way. Also try slowing your direct inhale down! You may find a comfort zone you can handle.

Start with a shorter slower direct inhale stop when you begin feeling TH then puff the rest as you normally do.
