Hello and welcome. AW18650 batteries and an XTAR VP1 charger would be my suggestion. You should get a couple of extra coil heads. As far as flavors go, just try out what you think you might like in small quantities at first, you never know, you might not like to vape something that you do like to eat or smell. I personally tend to try out each vendors RY4 if they sell it, most do.

:thumb: Can't go wrong with the VP1 charger from Xtar. Any of the three battery options will do great in the VTR.

As for flavors, that depends upon what you like or think you'll like.

The Panasonic 18650PF's are what I use in my VTR.

I'd recommend also buying a JWrap for a VTR because its such a fingerprint magnet... I use the Nitecore i2 charger and it works well.

A lot of good juice vendors are... Good Life Vapor, Nicoticket, Ahlusion, Alien Vision, Heather's Heavenly Vapes... It all depends on what you're really into :D

I bought the same one! I got the green though, I don't like to clean off fingerprints.

I bought some Panasonic 18650 batteries, a LUC v4 charger, and a different drip tip (I'm not a fan of the knuckle tip). Also a few different juices to try.
Although I think the iClear30s had better flavor than my aerotank, it also produces more dry hits.

I like vaping the 2.1 ohm atty at 8.5 watts

Hi, guys I know this hasn't been updated in a while but I hope it's still active!
I have an innokin itaste vtr and I want to start recoiling the tank, what wire would I be best to use?
Also how much difference is there between a dual and single coil?
(I want to recoil the kanger aero tank, not the standard iclear 30s)

Thanks Chelli

I attempted to recoil the Protank single coils with kanthal 34 gauge but it turned out to be more bother than it was worth. I'm sure others would know better, but silica wick made the juice taste funny even after boiling it, and it leaked a lot no matter what I tried. I have spent so much money (hundreds) on DIY vaping hardware and juice mixing supplies (syringes, beakers, glass bottles, bottles of 60mg unflavored nic, flavorings, etc.) 30-40 different juices (including over $200 worth of Halo, which by the time it steeped I didn't care for anymore), and after 8 months of vaping (no analogs), now I simply use a Protank 2 with an aerotank base (as an airflow control valve) using single coils at about a dollar a piece for a box of 50. I don't even use my VTR any more. Just a simple Vision Spinner 1300. And I vape MBV Banana ($7.25 oz) as my ADV! I could have saved around seven- or eight-hundred dollars if I had only known!

28gauge Kanthal with organic cotton works great! This is a single coil build in a dual coil base. !!!! Aero Tank !!!! with 2.2 ohm micro coil build with cotton

I usually "thin out the cotton" in the coil. Thicker cotton on both sides of the coil.

If you look below at my "signature line" bookmark the "Steam Engine". It's a great online tool for coil building.

Does anyone know where I can find a "problems with VTR" thread or postings on here? I have a VTR that just stopped working. The display lights up, the green fire button lights up, but doesn't fire anymore on anything. I'm ready to take it apart if I can find any advice. I'm a tad over warranty period and no I didn't drop it;]

Have you tried swapping tanks? That is, are you sure it's not the coil or tank you're using?

I bought the silver one and it is a fingerprint magnet, no question. I am going to get a wrap for it-after six months of use I am sick of the grubby look. Efest batteries and charger. Itaste 30S tank. I use variable wattage at 9.5 with a 50/50 PG/VG mix Menthol Mint. I do love this thing-even with fingerprints all over it. Bought mine from UKECIGCABIN- Complete mod, 2 Efest batteries & 1 battery holder, Efest battery charger, 30S, 2 extra coil heads and 50ml of e juice of my choice (menthol) all for around 100 quid. Seemed to be the best deal around that I could find in the UK and they were a joy to deal with.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

i love my vtr.. i run through 4 batteries a day (sony vtc4) .. the only downer is the lack of power.. i love the weight and feel of it
i have a kayfun, (you'll need to use the extension) and a magma RDA single coil.. for flavor, cant beat the kayfun.. handles all 15 watts flawlessly
