I've had my VTR for about 6 months and love it especially with my nautilus tank set between 10 and 12 watts. only time i've had issues with connectivity is if the contact gets some juice on it.

Does anyone know where I can find a "problems with VTR" thread or postings on here? I have a VTR that just stopped working. The display lights up, the green fire button lights up, but doesn't fire anymore on anything. I'm ready to take it apart if I can find any advice. I'm a tad over warranty period and no I didn't drop it;]

I had that issue with the aerotank on top of a the vtr a couple of times but it turned out that I had just screwed the coil head in too tight and that wads causing my issue, so try it with a different tank and see if it's that

Do you know if this will work with the Nuatilus mini, or just the full size tank? I am looking to purchase the VTR but already have a Natilus mini tank and don't want to but another tank if possible. Thanks in advance.

The nuatilus mini will work, BUT... as I understand it the base of the tank doesnt fit through the ring of the VTR. So you need to attach the base, turn the vtr upside down, and then screw the tank to the tank base. So yes.. it works.. but it is a bit of a P.I.T.A..


You can do better for the same price range, unless there is something specific about the VTR you like. I got it for its weight and durability, it survives drops like a champ

Remember, too, that the VTR comes with an adapter (extension) "cone" that will accommodate any atomizer with a 510 connection:

this ^ but personally I dont wanna carry around a walky talky. For real talk, I just feel safer moving about with the tank sitting flusher in the side thingy. But meh. My VTR is primarily for use at home anyways. My VV 3.0 gets me through the work day.

If you want to use the Mini on the VTR you can file/Dremel off the knurls on the airflow adjustment and it will fit just fine. I did this and it works great. The full size Nautilus only will work with the extension.
