Hey all. Was wondering if anyone has used this. I am considering it but have some mixed feelings.

Reasons I want it: Currently have a Vamo which I find long in my pocket. I bend a lot and find I am starting to strip the connection because of the stress I am putting on my clearo side. Also with two kiddos, it is probe to be knocked off tables. I think the VTR would help in both situations.

Concerns: the weight? I mean how much is this considered a bad thing. Hard to know unless you have had your hands on it I think. Also, how is it in the pocket. Are my reasons for wanting it true?

Any feedback really appreciated. Thanks

The VTR is large and heavy. If size and weight is a consideration I would consider the MVP.

I have the VTR with Iclear 30s, Iclear x.1 With the extention I could use the 30b, but I dont use it with the VTR as I find units with the clearos sticking out ungainly and bothersome to carry.

It is too heavy to carry in a normal pants pocket, imo. But for around 10$ you can get the VTR belt leather thingy, ( very classy ).

To vape, the weight is not a problem, quite the opposite as far as I am concerned. The clearomisers if they are less than 19mm fit great inside their protected space and only the drip tip sticks out. That was a major + for me. I got the green V2 model so no fingerprints.

The major reason why I got one are: (1) the form factor has nothing in common with smoking and it does not have a sealed battery, (2) the design is, almost, unique and its operation is very simple for such a powerfull PV and (3) this thing is SOLID !

It's definitely heavy, but after getting used to it I like it much better than my Vamo. For tanks, I've been using either the Iclear 30s that came with it or the Aerotank just because they fit in the ring. I haven't had any troubles carrying it around, I usually wear jeans so I just stuff it in my back pocket. The back pocket isn't so great while sitting, but fortunately everywhere I go, I can set it on the desk or table I'm sitting at.

I have a VTR. Not a bad PV, but once I got into RBA's I never touched it again. Your very limited on the size of tanks you can use. I know you can you the adapter, but it looks so bad, for me anyway it was not an option. By the sounds of your post it won't be an option for you either. Also, the battery latch started to go bad with very little use. Honestly, for that reason and many others I finally got away from the China devices.

Have it, love it. It's my main pv. Take it with me everywhere. It is on the heavy side, but you quickly get used to it. I really like how readily accessible the controls are. You don't have to hit a button 11 times to change the power settings..... Ahem.

My battery lasts near 2.5 to 3 days with heavy use. I usually roll with the Aero tank. Great mod.

Sorry to bring up this thread again, but wanted to put my 2 cents in..

I work in the oil and gas industry, and the tubular type mods... Vamo, Provari, etc are way too long for me to carry around. I wanted something I could put in my back pocket and not really worry about breaking anything on it so I bought the VTR.

I absolutely love it. Works great, especially with the Iclear 30S or a Vivi Nova, and It's exactly what I was looking for. It fits right in my back pocket with the tank installed. Another thing I really like is the fact that the Iclear 30S has a rotatable tip. Some people do not like this, but for me where I put it in my back pocket, it actually allows the whole unit to conform to shape without the chance of breaking the tank or tip off.

Alot of people will complain about the weight, but the weight really doesn't bother me. I bought 2... one for me and one for the wife. She absolutely loves it also. We now pretty much just use the VTR's exclusively.

The only issue I have is that it's really smooth, so you have to watch yourself when your holding it cause it will slip right out of your hands. We have the chrome versions. I've got a couple JWraps coming, along with a textured black gator skin from Vapor Skinz.

It would be nice if someone came up with a rubber or silicone wrap for it similar to what you see for phones. It'd help protect the unit, plus give you a better less slippery grip when holding it. I'd buy them right now if they existed.

Also, as far as RBA's and RDA's go, with the adapter that comes with the VTR, you can fit any RBA/RDA you want. I have a career and work all day so while I'm at work, I use the 19mm tanks like the Iclear 30S or Vivi Nova. It's too much trouble to even try to Drip or mess with an RBA during that time. While at home in the evenings, that's when I'll throw on the extension, and connect up my RDA's or RBA's... Usually while relaxing and watching a show or movie.

IMAG0298.jpgIMAG0292.jpgI have the iTaste VTR. It is quite a heavy and bulky device. It worked amazingly with my Aerotanks. It has variable voltage up to 6v and watts up to 15. It is quite a nice device and very very simple to use. The only real problem I had with it was the finish on it. I really recommend getting a JWrap for it. The chrome finish on it is a real fingerprint magnet and is a real ..... to keep clean if you have oily hands. Other than that its really nice. Now I'm a man so the weight doesn't bother me to much. The black color will also start to rub off on the extension tube. Other than those flaws it works amazingly. It fires my 0.92 ohm fogger v4 and my 0.9 ohm Russian 91% clone. The MVP only variable wattage up to 11 watts so a bit less but its a bit easier to use. No need to pop a battery in... but once its dead... its dead. I'd recommend getting the VTR with 2 Panasonic 18650PD batteries. They last a very long time. Of course either a Nitecore i2 or XTar charger will work amazingly. All in all I believe everything together would be around $120-$140. Quite a bit higher than the $40-$60 for an MVP 2.0. It all comes down to your own choice... If you have a very solid pint glass with a handle on it and pick it up that's about how heavy the VTR is with a battery and Russian 91% clone and everything on it.

In the pictures you can see the VTR next to my nemesis. Also the other picture is the VTR with the Russian 91% clone sitting on it. It is approximately 9 inches with the drip tip I have on it. The case it comes in is quite gorgeous! It is a stainless steel case.

I have a VTR as well as a couple of MVP2s. I tend to use the MVP2 more than the VTR because I have switched mostly to RBAs. I do use the VTR daily with an Aerotank and with a Taifun GS. It is a very heavy device but somehow feels really good in your hand. It is very heavy in your pocket but it definitely won't slip out on you. I put mine in a customer leather case that I bought from Etsy. It takes care of both the fingerprints and it being a bit slippery. I am glad that I bought it but it better suited for people who like regular clearomizers.

I also have the VTR. Did a lot of research before deciding on purchasing. The weight thing doesn't other me at all. Most of the VV\VW mods that I looked at seemed very light and with a tank on top, were very top heavy. I don't have to worry about setting this thing down and wondering if it's going to tip over and if I need to carry it, I pop it right in the back pocket. I love the adjustability and flexibility of the VV\VW also. I use Kanger Aerotanks when I'm driving (Don't Drip and Drive :2cool:), but when I'm at work or at home, I use the ugly extension tube (didn't buy it to be pretty) and put on my Trident RDA with dual micro coils running at .9 Ohms and crank it up to 14 or 15 watts, depending on what I'm vaping. It's not a cloud chasing machine by any means, but I get enough taste and vapor off of it to satisfy me. I'm very glad I purchased the VTR, especially after reading all of the negative comments regarding a lot of the other VV\VW devices out there.

The VTR is a real good regulated PV. IMO it is the best value for money.

Its most attractive property that makes it my main vaping tool is the recessed clearo. That makes it one of the shortest 18650 regulated PV mod out there. When you compare it to those 150$ to + 250$ PV out there, it is no contest. The VTR wins hands down. ... and it is great for stealth vaping, since it is not a cigarette or cigar shape.
