How many different ways can we say it? You’re running SS mode with a Kanthal coil. That’s the problem. You’re using the wrong mode for what you have. That’s why it isn’t working right. Stop doing that. Either get a different tank with a SS coil material, or switch to wattage mode with the Kanthal mesh coils you have now. SS mode is for SS coils. Don’t try to use Kanthal coils in SS mode. It won’t work right, and you won’t have a pleasant experience. But you already know that.

I want new vapers to be able to buy one mod with all the options so they only have to mess around trying tanks to find what suits them.

But with new vapers continually thinking because a mod can do something they should try it "Why am I getting a burnt taste? My mod goes to 200w so it should be OK", I'm starting to agree with those who want to torture newbs with eGo batteries and clearos because the rest is too complicated.

It would be good if Proton kicked you out of TC if you don't have a TC coil like some do. Then we would only be answering "Why can't I run in TC?"
