Ok, so i just got the SVD less than a week ago, and sometimes it gets very hot, while vaping the bottom gets hot (grip part) but sometimes the top gets hot around where the fire button and beauty ring are.. is that normal?

right now i am running it with an 18650 battery, 2000mah, 2ohm single coil carto in the udct tank., at 4.2 volts.

so any ideas?

im having simular problems my svd started doing the viboration thing that fieldofvapor decribed in his review of the svd.. i didnt think too much into it because it still worked great.. but today it started getting hot on the telescope tube when i fired it.. worried i checked the battery real quick and it was fine.. then i put the battery in a different device and all was good, then i put a different battery in the svd and it felt hot again!! so i switched to a different carto tank and it did it again, then used those same two tanks on a different device and no problems.. honestly it kinda worries me that my svd is doing that.. i havent even had it a month, so i sent a email straight to innokin but they havent replied yet, anyone have any advice on what to do or had simular problems.. btw i dont use the svd anymore because im scared something bad will happen.

What does your bottom cap look like?

If you look at the bottom cap in the review it looks kind of like a raised "wagon wheel" which mine doesn't, its sunk down. Reading further on the ECF forums it appears that the raised wagon wheel is an older version of the SVD.

Maybe try not tightening it up so much? Again, I've got mine tightened all the way down but not super tight. No wiggle and no buzz.

In fact, other than the size, I'd have to disagree with ALL of the cons he mentioned in the review. Bottom cap -not cheap. No wiggle. No buzz.

Maybe since I have a newer version?

Edit: take a look at this thread - read the whole thing
