Hello everyone, recently in the mail I've been waiting for a halo triton starter kit which was 65 dollars, but after seeing how well loved the mvp and vtr are, I've been beginning to have doubts.

Should I return the halo triton and just use the vtr for my first set up? It is 110 at a local vape shop (civil vapes) and I'm really thinking I might go drive up buy some juice and the vtr and get to start vaping today.

What do y'all think?

If it's hard and it's not for beginners I get it, and I can use the triton for a while and eventually upgrade. But what I was thinking was why waste steps if I could use the vtr now with no problems..

Eh, VTR is big heavy, requires the use of 18650 batteries which means you can bump your 110 to around 140 or so. Not to mention theres plenty of pros and cons (as with any mod).

Honestly, if you absolutely want it, do your research on the vtr to make sure its EXACTLY what you want, learn which batteries are safe and which chargers are ideal, battery saftey, etc, andgo with what you feel will be less hassle and more enjoyable.

Frankly I almost regret getting my VTR because a 8$ kick chip from fasttech is outperforming it in my hammer. but, VTR lasts longer and has a more... appealing form factor. Hammer is great to show off with though :D

Functionally speaking (features, performance), the VTR is flawless imo.
I guess it all comes down to what you like. If you like box mods, then the VTR is for you! i think its the best box mod out there. If you prefeer the more traditional "flashlight-like" mods, then look somewhere else.

Mind an important detail about the VTR i just posted in another thread, ill paste here...

if you do decide to get a VTR, make shure your vendor has the updated version!
The one in the busardo review (i havent seen the other reviews), have a spinning weel below the 510 connector. Ibe heard people say that this moving part lead to eventual connection issues in the 510.
The latest version does not have this spinning weel. Take a look at mine...

I dont know if you can tell from the picture, but the weel below the 510 connector is fixed. It doesnt rotate as in the first version

I was debating getting the MVP or VTR. I ended up with the MVP. You should be happy with the VTR. A lot of people like it. If you end up not liking the VTR. You can always use it as brass knuckles if you get into a scrap at the bar..LOL

Appreciate the info!

I actually visited my local vape shop, saw the vtr and thought you know what, for 110 bucks I don't think this is going to give me 110 bucks worth, went on eciggity bought a mvp 2.0 kit for 39.99. I think it'll be worth it in the end, especially since as a beginner I wouldn't notice the extra features and voltage in the vtr.

Great choice going with the MVP 2.0 and all for $40 bucks. You can't beat that. People are getting 2-3 days out of a charge. I have to charge my original EGO every 2-3 hours. Plus you can charge a cell phone or whatever with the MVP. I think the VTR lasts about a day from what I read. I would have though the VTR would last longer.

Yeah me too! And plus the USB charger might come in handy one day.

Another thing I picked up to use with my mvp is the mini protank 2... Do you think that is a good choice? It was only 10 bucks I thought it was a good deal.

I was going to try out a mini protank myself. I read they work great. I don't know how the fit is in a MVP though.

Yes a good setup; mvp2 with miniprotank2; hope yu got a pack of replacement atomizer heads with it;
be prepare to recycle those atomizer heads; clean and dry burn; you might use a head for a day or a week depending on your vape.

try the vw at about 5 watts;; i think the mvp starts at 6 actually

The heads would just be the coils right? I did not get any extras :(

I was seriously eyeballing the VTR the day I bought my VV, and again a week after when I bought the MVP, and the week after that I finally bought the VTR.

One of the guys at work learned from me and did what I should have, skipped the VV and MVP and went right to the VTR.

Dont get me wrong Im glad I have a backup kit for my back up kit.

This past Monday I rawlered the ring on the VTR out to fit the iClear 30b with a drill and some patience.

Vaping a nice Pear Brandy on the VTR with the tube and Octopus right now.

ETA: Dripping 18 nic liquid will nic you out very quickly
