The rules thread was actually started AFTER the rule change thread, and although I am not a Veteran or Subscribing Memeber I am able to start a thread there. IDK?

You need non-spammed non-sequential non"this is three" posts OR replies then a 1 hour wait.

And it actually reduces clutter because we catch the spammers and fakes right here before they can litter the forum with their bs and lies.

Okay, spam is bad. I know. Had to shut down a BB several years ago because of spam and I couldn't waste time being a cop. So, I appreciate the effort ECF has implemented. But I wouldn't mind spending a dollar or two to join - that'd keep out the spammers. Just a thought.

that would also keep out a lot of good people that come in for the information and to learn a few things. i would not have joined the forum, initially, if i had to pay. now that i'm here, i don't mind adding support once i figure out my vaping budget. there are also a lot of people on disabilities or limited income. i'm sure most that use the site, will eventually help support it when they can---but many wouldn't be here if they had to do that upfront---especially newbies.

Couldnt figure out the 5 post rule to start with either, I then spent an hour or so trying to figure out how to add a banner and then read something about needing 15 posts to add a banner
