I think the button on my first Pulse is starting to give out. It only likes to fire when the button is all the way pushed in. Can't complain. It was really cheap and took some serious punishment. I may take it apart and see what's going on with it. If anything keep it around for parts.

Dunno about the dpro, looks a little restrictive. Thats a guess though. I think Mike vapes reviewed it.
If you like the drop, get the drop solo. Like mine so far.
It looks like it has bottom and side AF. and the build deck looks a bit like the GR1 which I like. The one real gripe I have with the GR1s how easy it is to oversquonk. Which seems like it might be less of an issue with the dpro. I have been using lower power and tighter draw lately. Even made it through a night of work with a MTL setup. Had a higher powered device just in case but didn't use it.

That's what I like about he DPro, rl works well for me on a drip if I remember to build for it. I like the Drop okay but not crazy about the deck.
BTW are my VTC6 batteries okay for a single battery device using a .4-.25Ω single coil? should I use the 30q instead?

You using it on a mechanical? On a regulated you just have to worry about wattage. Those should be fine in the 50-60 watt range.
Regulated, just want a battery that will last a few hours. I have 30q and VTC6 but not sure if there is a better option available. I don't get the battery stuff so I always ask. Seriously doubt I'll move into single wire builds, may give kanthal/ss claptons another go for higher resistance and faster ramp. Do love my ss tho and will have replay now (which may chew up some of my run time).
I have 3 more Pulse mods. If they wear out I think by that time my finances should be well enough in order for me to purchase a really sexy high end device.Time for a pulse 80w.

Those use only 18650? If you build around .5 and run about 35-40 watts the 30q are good and vapor production should be sufficient That is what I used for some time in the Serpent and it was enough vapor production for me. I liked the 3×core Ni80 FC for that resistance. About 7 wraps on a single put it at .5

Thanks Skunk. If replay isn't a winner for me I will try the Ni80 tri cores; need at least one tc wire so will try ss first and if battery life is too short will try the kanthal/ss.
Not when it comes to building and batteries. I have just learned what questions to ask (over and over again
).If you ever do get a mechanical mod, keep asking the questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability. If I don't know the answer, somebody will. If I do get a high end squonk box, it has to be mechanical (and stabilized wood). it's just personal preference.
